Description

24 hour parking lot. Next to skate park (single space vehicles only). Quiet parking lot, near the northwest wood boat center Level, very nice, far better than the nearby $64 RV space. Porta-potty next to the skate park.

Latest Check-Ins

Great 24 hr parking lot in walking distance to downtown food and shops. As others have said, the lot will likely be full during the day but empties out by 7-9pm. Quiet from 10pm until about 6am when traffic started up again. There are a few pull through spots if you have a small trailer.

Report Check-In

Great location downtown. Parking fills up during the day but easy to find a spot in the evening.

Public trash can on the street. Porta Potty next to the skate park (a little too close to the park if there are people skating because they can peer in from above and behind, and you have to awkwardly listen to their conversations 🤷).

T-Mobile/Google Fi service is weak

Report Check-In

Paved parking really close to downtown and ferry. About 20 spots. There were a few other campers there. Safe and clean, a bit of noise in the evening from the soccer field nearby.

Stayed here one night and no issues, lot gets empty after sunset. Four other van campers stayed as well

24hours parking for free. it's in the middle of the town, the parking lot was full when we arrived at 4pm but empty by 8pm. we had no issues staying there with our truck camper. there is a pit toilet for the skate park. anything under 25ft should fit.

Nice spot in a cute town! Quiet and private, and there is even a portapotty. This was the last spot we stayed at in the U.S before heading back into Canada and finishing our journey. It's been quite a wild ride but I'm afraid this may be our last check in. We're going to be staying at some familiar sites in Vancouver after this. Thanks to everyone for putting this site together and making it what it is, it has been a lifesaver during this adventure. As always, be respectful, pack out what you bring in and leave it better than you found it!

One of the best location we've slept so far. Very quiet and safe, right in the cute downtown of Port Townsend, with cafés and shops.

This spot worked really well for us. clearly marked 24 hours, so no worries. Easy walk into historic Port Townsend to see all the cool, artsy shops. Two other campers also spent the night there.

Spend one night here. There were a number of other people doing the same. Seems like there are a few long-term residents camping here as well. Parking lot was quiet and no one knocked. There is a not-so-clean porto potty, but there is a bathroom near Velocity Cafe (in the Wooden boat museum area)that requires a code(I got it from the cafe). It appears that there might be shower access there as well. Nice walk to the marina and (very expensive) RV park to the north east.
