Something not right?

Description

Many places around here. This is a larger and flatter spot than most. Accommodated our 30’ class C with no problem. Free!

Good spot at the right time. Otherwise avoid on weekends and holidays as it’s full of motorbikes and SxS’s, noise and dust

Latest Check-Ins

Came here on a Friday night during Xmas as it’s the closest I could get to the city. I’m not joking when I say there were at least 300 toy haulers along this road and an expected level of dust. No complaints as I knew what I was getting in to but something to be mindful of

Stayed here 5 nights. Awesome spot with tons of room for campers of all sizes. The weekend vibe is very different from weekdays. We came on a Friday and there were lots of people and many off road vehicles driving around. More of a party atmosphere. We went dirt biking in Box Canyon and it was beautiful and fun. On Sunday night most people left and a herd of about 40 cows became our neighbors. We did a hike up to Flat Iron in the Superstition Mountains (about half an hour drive). Great place to camp!

Camped almost exactly on the spot, but would get farther off Cottonwood Rd. in the future, as heavy truck traffic starts before 5am, servicing an active mining operation. Big open area with plenty of room for rigs of all sizes. Lots of BIG toy haulers as it’s on the way to a popular UTV play ground. Early evening was disrupted by a UTV operator intent on disrupting anyone camping within a mile.
This is State Trust land, and a permit is required: https://land.az.gov/applications-permits. BLM starts 5-miles off highway 79.

Wide open spaces here. Big rig friendly!

This is Gold Canyon Dispersed camping. It is an extremely nice area that has some great views of the distant mountains, and not too far from the city. The roads were pretty good and it was extremely quiet. Many nice places to park.

Nice flat, huge area for camping. Beautiful sunset. It felt very safe. We stayed here for 4 days during the week. Saturday is when a lot of dirt bikes and 4 wheelers come which is also fun to watch but louder. This would be the perfect spot for a toy hauler with toys! Fun little hills and ditches to dirt bike in. Great for beginners & more experienced.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stop overnight, we got here early around 3PM, lots of people riding 4x4 and motocross but apart for that quiet place to spend the night, easy access to any size rigs but drive slowly.
