Great place for a night, many pull-offs along road. A great, flat area, old concrete pad, one of many potential boon-docking sites. Miles of trails to hike and mountain bike. A plus is to go to the lookout and see the beautiful fall colors! Close to small Virginia town and supplies. Pack it in and out, please.

Past reviews are describing two different spots. The first area (signs for the Laurentian Divide) is a paved pull-out with picnic tables and a vault toilet. A block further north is the original location (signs for Laurentian Divide Snowmobile trail) with multiple parking areas. Follow the dirt road (2wd fine) and you'll pass several more vault toilets and winter shelters.
Maps and signs at most parking areas; not hard to find your way and pick a spot once you get there.
Report Check-InWorked out great. The pin was off, but we stopped in front of the pit toilet and had a nice quiet night. Some distant trains and noise from highway, but was very manageable.
