Beautiful green hills, 360 degreee view. The interstate is visible and can hear it a bit- still a beautiful overnight boondock spot.

Really good spot ! Went there easily with our 4x4 f150 without 4WD, trail could be muddy when rainy
Could be really windy too but we had luck, +50mph gusts when we arrived but wind stopped a few minutes later !!
Okay with roof tent and really good for our dog to play freely :D

What gorgeous spot! 360 degree views. There are a couple of deep ruts on the way up. High clearance vehicle would be best (hope I get out with my 2WD—it rained overnight and the path is muddy).

There is absolutely no trash whatsoever. Let’s hope it stays that way. I was the only one up here in mid-May. The freeway is far enough away that it won’t bother you. In some spots, the hillsides block the freeway partially.

The way in is exactly as described. Make the first possible left dirt road on Reno—About 1 mile from the freeway.

Edit: in fact, did not make it up the insignificant incline. It rained overnight and the road (more like a trail) got muddy and as slippery as ice. My 2WD Sprinter Van simply slipped into the deep ruts. Damn, I’m afraid I made the ruts even deeper now. I was resigned to have to call off-road recovery but made another attempt later in the day after the sun dried the top layer of the mud. For some miracle reason I made it out. Because I had nothing better to do all day, I shoveled dirt into the ruts to make up for my mess but I’m sure I chewed it up again on the way out.

Beautiful and spacious. Verizon, AT&T, and T-mobile service.

Directions from previous post is accurate. Beautiful vista. Only slight freeway noise in far off distance. One other car camper showed up just before sunset. Our pop up truck camper did great.

Didn’t see any fire rings but the views are great. Seems to be quite a few good spots here.

Gorgeous views, very quiet, smell of sage brush everywhere. Easy place to get to on way up I-25. Perfect for vanlifers and pristine

Nice area on a small patch of BLM in Johnson County (the BLM patch starts where the road turns off from Reno Rd and continues a little past these coordinates). Google maps doesn’t know how to get here, drive past where it tells you to stop, and turn left on the little dirt road. There are a couple of flat spaces to pull off. Gorgeous views and total quiet.

High clearance vehicle recommended for large ruts in road. Will be impassable when wet.
