Description

20 km South of Divundu, just after the Popa Falls, situated on the western bank of the Okavango River, overlooking the Buffalo Core Area. They offer 10 luxury tents, 2 self-catering rooms or bungalows plus 3 extra rooms. You can use the swimming pool and very good restaurant and bar. The wooden deck also overlooks the banks of the river, where elephants and hippos can be seen.
1 luxury suite, floating on the river, fully equipped with its own en-suite bathroom and bedside view over the river (like a houseboat).
Only 1 private campsite by the Okavango with lawn and indigenous trees with nice view over the river:

The owner and friendly staff will personally ensure that your stay will be a truly memorable African Bush experience.
Activities like boat cruises, game drives, fishing trips can be booked.
We stayed 2 nights and had a wonderful time.

Latest Check-Ins

Ok place, but only the campsite 1 which we were in, was a nice campsite, others are not worth it. Site nr. 1 is N$234/pppn, so it’s quite expensive. Nice view of the river (but quite narrow and only from site 1). We were the only campers, so it was nice. If there would’ve been others, there would not be much privacy. Shower was good presssure, hot (gas geysir). Ablutions clean. Good pool at lodge. Lodge’s restaurant only served french fries or salad for lunch (!?) when we were there, so gave it a miss. Nice views from the terrace. Friendly staff.

Very nice place, kind staff, very relaxing. They have 2 campspots. Number 1 is at the Riverside, very nice view. This one is bigger but sometimes you have to share the place. Number 2 has no direct river view. But it's cheaper; 180 pp, number 1 is 230 pp. Ablutions clean. Can be wise to make a reservation.
The restaurant and terrace are very nice, good food. Diner is 320 pp, delicious three course meal. Views are amazing; you can see many animals as subscribed. The game drive was very good and worth the money. There is (kind of slow) WiFi at the reception/restaurant. The road to the lodge is quite sandy.

Dinner very nice!

Great campsite direct at the river. Lots of game on the other side of the river to see in the evening.
Sites are spacey and shady. Borehole water.
They invest lots of work to improve the place. Good ablutions, new shady places, all looks nice and is taken care of.
Prices for camping is right now (after covid specials) 195 pppn, normal price is 250pppn...

Absolutely beautiful camping pitch right next to the river. You can watch hippos grazing on the opposite bank and the sunrise colours over the water are spectacular. It is a very large and shady pitch with two private toilet and shower rooms. Also a thatched kitchen hut and a Brai stand. Drinking water from the bathroom taps. There is a pool, bar, decking and Wi-Fi 100m away at the lodge. Meals available but we didn’t try them.

Great value for money for N$150 pp. Much nicer and better value than Mahango Lodge next door which we also checked out. However… there is only 1 riverside pitch here - looks like they are in the process of developing some additional pitches but these are not directly by the river and not so shady. So may be worth booking if you want to get the riverside pitch.

We also highly recommend Mahango NP - we were amazed to see so much game in the middle of the wet season - better than Etosha. We did a self drive into the park and also a boat cruise from Ndhova for N$360pp which was excellent.
