Gravel parking lot behind farmland. Very busy Sunday afternoon but everyone cleared out by sundown. Nice spot for one night.
Portapotty on site, clean at the moment.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
This is an off-road/ATV park, parking lot. It is a large flat space that a truck with a small trailer could easily make a circle in. An RV could probably turn around in. Because of the gravel road, some clearance would be nice, but my car handled it without a problem. It’s just a LONG stretch of gravel until you reach the actual lot.
People use it during the day but they tend to wrap up once it gets too dark. Weekend daytime is going to be especially noisy. After that, it quiets down.
Pack in/pack out your trash, with one portable toilet in the lot. There are a few covered picnic tables but no trash cans.
Google tried to navigate me some weird areas, including down the neighbor’s driveway. This must be pretty common, because they had a big sign saying NOT the ATV lot. Be aware when navigating, and make sure you’re aimed for the “Meeker County OHV Park.”
Report Check-InBeware or Mountain Lion!!
I pulled in at 8pm. There was a large mountain lion in the field next to the parking lot.
Great place to stay the night. Descent Verizon signal.
