wonderful location. we parked next to the lighthouse right along the fence line for two nights. three other campers joined us the first night and none the second. The lighthouses busy with tourists throughout the day but it quiets down by 4:00 p.m. Don't park in the chowder House parking lot however lunch there is great just walk over. it's a busy restaurant.

nice open, level, and spacious parking lot with spectacular view of the ocean and the lighthouse. This spot is getting popular on this app. I wasn't there alone, there was another van and a minivan parked there for the night. It wasn't absolutely quiet at night since some locals drive in and out around midnight and play loud music, and that was Sunday night. They left a bit before 1am, so quiet after that. The parking lot is filled after 12pm since the restaurant opens at that time. I went in to get a seafood chowder since it was nice of them to let campers stay overnight. Seafood was fresh but I think the chowder lacks seasoning, a bit bland for my taste, could be better for $17.

The place is great. We arrived on a Wednesday, the restaurant is closed. We were 4VR, great evening and night. But in the morning the owner came at 8 a.m. to tell us that it is private land and that we must leave.

Beautiful spot, quiet night. Restaurant closes at 6.

Great location, huge parking lot - restaurant was closed when I arrived and is closed following day - so I figured it’s okay to stay based on previous reviews. 2 more vans showed up also a little car. Extremely quiet and peaceful…. Other than the single bright parking lot light 😜 and all those pesky fisherman picking up their lobster pots at 6am…. Pretty fun to watch that on a rainy morning. Highly recommended!!

Visited Chowder House today because of positive reviews about the chowder. Might not have had I known the price comes to $17 for a very small bowl of Chowder. It’s far too expensive. Chowder is good, just over priced.

Beautiful spot and amazing views right from the restaurant’s parking. The restaurant was closed when we got here but other travellers arrived before we did and got permission to overnight. We decided to stay as well and grab lunch tomorrow at the restaurant to say thanks. We will be lulled by the waves tonight. As an FYI, you probably want to wash your vehicle the next day due to the overnight sea salt spray…we’re lucky because showers are expected tomorrow so no need to find a car wash.

As described. Beautiful views and great East coast hospitality. Spent a quiet night and wasn’t bothered at all

This place is amazing! the views, the food (the best seafood chowder), parked up next to the lighthouse! oh the sunset too. nice big gravel parking lot at this restaurant, it's low season so I asked the manager if we could park overnight and she didn't even hesitate to say yes. We then ordered food and loved the fish cakes and swooned over the Chowder. Later we chatted with the manager and she is so lovely. Even if you don't or can't stay the night, it's must stop for all of the above! enjoy. * TENTS: there is a big grassy area but I'm unsure if they would allow tents... doesn't hurt to ask.
