Cacahuamilpa is one of the largest cave systems in the world. Inside the cavern system are ninety large "salons" separated by large natural rock walls and connected to one another via a central gallery. These salons average about forty meters wide, and vary in height from twenty to 81 meters.
You cannot walk into the cave system by your own. Tours of run every hour and last about two hours.

It's good to take a flashlight with you. After the guided tour you walk alone to the exit, the guide turns off the bright headlights and there are only a few lights at the floor.

Report Check-InSuper cool cave, it’s absolutely massive! The mandatory tour is pretty painful (about 2 hours), but worth it to see the caves. Worth the 100 pesos entry! Lots of comida corrida, food, and drink stalls all around the entrance.
