Description

Road up the slight incline is in good condition. Wouldn't like to see it in the rain though. No place to turnaround since it dead ends into an closed gate to someone's property.
15 dispersed camping area spots marked only by a stone fire ring. Saw tents, vans and RV's. Some spots look only meant for tents.
No amenities, be self sufficient!
Edit: there is now a decently sized clearing for turning around before the gate, smaller rigs could easily turn, possibly larger ones

Gorgeous area, 1 or 2 accessible for big rigs and many many other smaller sites for car or tent camping. One larger site has a beautiful view. No one else was camped on the entire road today

Report Check-In

Nice spots close to the National Park. Road was completely fine for our 2wd low clearance van. Would have to agree about the trash. Our site was pretty disgusting the way people leave it. Pack it in, pack it out. Felt safe and secluded though and had a fire ring.

Report Check-In

Multiple nice spots along the road. We got the last one right by the air field. One small plane landed while we were there. Couldn’t see it touch down but it went right overhead. I think all the spots were filled by the end of the night because quite a few vehicles had to turn around and go back. Overall nice quiet spot very close to the Glacier West entrance.

Note to campers: if you think you can save dispersed camping spots by leaving a folding chair or a plastic stool, then you shouldn’t be camping. This is public land. This is free camping for all. This is not reserved by inanimate objects. If you found your chair or stool 20’ in the woods, take the hint. You leave your spot, you lose your spot.

Otherwise a beautiful area. Around 5 small spots for tents and about 8 for larger rigs. Most designated by fire rings.

Report Check-In

Nice location but our campsite was absolutely disgusting. I mean literal human shit covered with paper towels. Trash everywhere. Absolutely disgusting.

Report Check-In

Went to the last spot by the gate. Good Allen spot. Big enough for a big rig. Or multiple rigs. No service. About 10 mins from the west gate. FREE. Stayed here 2 nights.

Report Check-In

multiple spots along this road. some good for large rigs, others just a small pullout for a car. found a nice little spot to back out truck into. surprised at how many people were actually asking this road and even coming in after dark. just please take your trash with you!

Report Check-In

Easy road up. A lot of spots, All designated’ish spots filled, had to scramble a bit to find a spot. A couple people camped on the side of the road. Somebody mentioned 15 sites. I have no idea how many there really are, but more than 15 people were camping here tonight.

Lovely place, great location, beautiful, quiet!

Couldn’t run Speedtest with ATT, connection was pretty worthless for us.

magnifique et très tranquille
plusieurs sites facilement accessible

A lot of place to camp, near of the west entrance of Glacier Park! Full phone signal!!!

Report Check-In

This is a great location near Glacier West entrance. Super beautiful and peaceful. One bar Verizon.

Some sites much larger than others.

Pack it in pack it OUT. Some dumbass left their trash in the fire pit. What kind of person does this?

Report Check-In

As described! There were a few spots, RV & tent only just after pulling on to the road, otherwise had to drive a bit further in to find more spots. Beautiful, peaceful, road is pretty well maintained. Definitely recommend staying here if you need a spot outside of Glacier.

Nice little area before glacier. We got in early so got one of the pretty large spots near the back. It was clean with a fire pit and of course gorgeous views. People lookin for spots until I went to bed. Surprisingly had good att signal at the spot.

Stayed here 2 nights. What a perfect location for access to the west side of Glacier! We arrived at noon on a Sunday in September and the area was only half full. All sites totally filled by late evening both days. Many small sites for tents or small vans, only a few larger ones suitable for small trailers. No big rigs. Very quiet. Would stay again.

We have been staying here in our van for a week or so now. It’s a great place but it fills up by the end of most nights. It is pretty secluded and the spots are far from each other. About 14 spots I think. Some toilet paper that people didn’t burry but overall it’s a clean area. If you want a spot I’d recommend getting here before 5pm. Most mornings we wake to people pulled over anywhere on the road they can find since it’s packed already.

Report Check-In

Got here around noon and grabbed the last open spot. Very busy as is expected outside of Glacier, but worth a look. Great spot in the trees. Handled easily in my 2wd Dodge van

Report Check-In

Great area! Fills up fast but we found a spot 2 nights near the beginning where about 4 other rigs were parked. Close to Glacier, quiet, not great cell service at the front for us.

Report Check-In

Great spot super close to Glacier entrance. We got there early on a Sunday and got the first spot right by the sign and didn’t venture to see what the rest looked like. Super busy area with cars going by all day. ATT barely worked for us in that spot.

Report Check-In

We started here Monday and Tuesday night this week. We got here at 845pm on Monday and found a small space in the gravel circle. Tuesday night we got in at 530pm and drove farther back, to find a back in spot all to ourselves

Report Check-In

Dispersed spots. These area are busy, fills all the spots very fast. Full AT&T bars.

Report Check-In

awesome place to camp. only about 10 sites and only 2 or 3 r gonna b big enough for trailers and only small ones at that. look for fire rings and set up shop

Report Check-In

Really quiet area 5 minutes from the park entrance. The spots all have fire rings and are really spread out. You won’t be able to see your neighbors. Recommend.

Report Check-In

Nous nous sommes arrêtés 15 mètres avant les coordonnées gps. L’endroit est très calme. On peut y rester jusqu’à 16 jours comme indiqué sur le panneau.

Report Check-In

A bit muddy when wet but still passable.
Train noise can be heard several times during the night.

Report Check-In

Place was easy to get to with a good gravel road. We drove when it was wet and rainy and had no problems. Campsites are marked by fire rings and are not very big. We only saw one place for a big rig and it was taken. Our campsite was pretty dirty though with human poop sitting out with their USED TOILET PAPER NEXT TO IT! No hole was dug and they left paper plates, broken plastic bowls, and the kicker was they left an empty trash bag in the bushes instead of using it. Quite a bit of mosquitoes so bring bug spray. Overall pretty quite with traffic of a couple cars leaving in the morning.

Report Check-In

Camped in the last spot to the left, road was in fine condition and easy to get up. Plenty of room to turn around now, it looks like some more area may have been cleared recently so it’s not a problem to turn around to leave if needed. Good cell service, fire pit, and fairly quiet. Great spot!

Report Check-In

Pulled into a small spot on the right just before the dispersed camping area. Fire pit, room for a couple of rigs easy. Only ones here, nice and quiet.

Report Check-In

Several spots along the way. Good dirt road about 2 miles in. Not recommended for big rigs. I only saw one place big enough and you can’t be sure if is empty.
