Okay campsite for one night. Its very easy to get to down a paved road. It’s a pullout off the road, decent view. Pretty littered out. Stayed at Canyon Overlook previously, much better view and solitude but damn that road. This is a good alternative

Great view of the mountains and lake. Lots of shards of broken glass bottles around a lot of the area though. Still worth the view.

No reception on ATT or TMobile - beautiful perch up above Canyon Lake. If you continue down the road you come to Mormon Flat Dam

Stayed here one night. Pretty quiet. Off the road. Road to get here is paved. So no need to off-road. However this is the apache trail rd to the dam. So there will be service workers up and down the road sporadically. But otherwise very quiet. You do have text and cell service but no data on Verizon. Occasionally you have 3g signal but it’s 4 bars of service and no data.

There is a no camping sign at the very beginning of the road but it’s so well hidden that I honestly went right past it 4 times before I saw it.

Easily accessible site large enough for 2-3 vehicles just minutes drive from Canyon Lake. Great views. Full bars 3G AT&T
