Road is usually closed in winter.
The Usal road going from Usal Beach is more of a jeep trail than a road. I did it in a four wheel drive pickup and had to stay in four low most of the time. There is also a lot of low hanging vegetation that can scratch your rig. It's challenging if you have the right rig, but it is dangerous in spots.

Road in good shape, some puddles toward end. Able to access with our trailer no problem (HQ15). Lots of open spots, including up road away from beach to get out of wind.
