Something not right?

Description

About a dozen or so established dispersed campsites for tent camping and parking along S. Meadows Rd. The road is hard-packed gravel/sand with some potholes and washed out areas. I was able to make it through with my campervan, no problem, and saw a Toyota Yaris made it through also. For the most part, the potholes can be avoided. There is a pit toilet at the entrance from the road.

Great camping spots! Very quiet, especially this time of year. No fires but the road is currently well maintained and easy to drive on.

Honestly great spot, so peaceful and calm

Note if you are wanting to hike the triple peaks do not think about the van ski trail. You will get wet and swamped

À compter de l’an prochain ces sites seront exclusivement pour le camping en tente! Les Vr ne seront plus admis! La durée maximale pour un séjour est de 3 nuits! Superbe endroit qui donne accès à plusieurs Monts en randonnée pédestre!

Several camping spots got there around 5pm so only a few spots left. A little narrow road but not a problem for our van.

what a great place. we spend 2 nights there. Left during the day and came back. We always had place. Very calm and quiet :) No problem to access with our Grand Caravan and I think a bigger van can also do it!

Easy to find spot. Just some pullouts off a dirt road- no amenities. Made it in easily with a minivan. Stayed Two nights end of May 2023- extreme black flies at that time of year. Quick drive to Mount Marcy trailhead which has a $15 day charge and has restrooms, water, a dish sink and picnic tables.

The sites have been reopened. The road is better. We stayed at campsite 10. Just enough room to back our Promaster in. No Verizon.

Update. Ranger came by around 7 pm and said illegal to camp within 150 feet of the road so would be fined if camping at barrier. Okay to leave RV there though, so we took our tent and walked in to a campsite close to the barrier. Ranger said road was to be improved and reopened within the next few days

WAS a great boondock spot in October 2022 but now road is blocked by large cement barriers. Parking for a few vehicles at entrance (beside main road), not private but not noisy. No indication why or how long road will be closed.

Stayed one night at the trailhead parking lot. Lil pit toilet available.

Rough road, but we made it down to site 10 in our van. Seems like a popular spot but we got a space and there were still some sites open when we were there. The only unfortunate thing is that no campfires are allowed in this area. Overall I would stay again.

Several primitive campsites, some are for tents and you can park along the road, some you can pull in with a van/rv. Very quiet during the night. It does tend to fill up by evening.

about a dozen sites. can confirm would recommend.

18 spots in total. 4 to 6 are walk in tent sites with little to no room for vehicles. trailhead at the end of the road with parking for large rigs, but only a couple of close campsites. no campfires allowed in the forest.
