Nice stay, level gravel parking lot, my 29' RV fit fine, plenty of room for several RVs. Pretty active park. At 6pm, there were 6 cars of people using the trail, walking their dog, etc. It was quite, but you could barely hear road traffic at times. You can park beside the river and covered bridge and there is a short trail you can walk your dogs on. No signs saying, "No Overnight Parking." Contains a few trash cans and portapotty.

Dirt parking lot next to river with picnic tables. Cute little town, I felt safe as a solo female. Was actually peaceful and quiet at night as nobody bothered me.
Had dinner at Mad taco down the street. ‘‘Twas a good night

We stayed at this location for two nights and nobody bothered us. It's quiet and the river is lovely.

Great spot! Stay low-profile. Mad Taco is awesome. So is Lawsons Finest Liquids 👍🏼. Rainy night, no pics.

Other descriptions accurate. One of many places to access mad river along rte 100. I overnighted at others too.

Warren falls is to the south and it’s the best and most popular swimming hole in the area w cascades and deep pools for jumping/diving.

Nice dirt lot surrounded by trees along the river. Houses and businesses nearby but pretty quiet. Porta potties in lot and free wifi. Didn’t have any problems and slept well with the sound of the river. Quiet and dark at night.

Peaceful, quiet, dark, felt safe, unbothered all night. Definitely a nice spot!

Great spot in a small municipal lot in the nice town of Waitsville, along the river. All the prior descriptions still apply. We stayed one night on a Saturday. The lot was quiet after we arrived back around 9pm from dinner and a movie at the Big Picture in town (highly recommended). There was one other van parked in the lot. Our van is not especially stealthy (canoe on top, tandem on the back!) and no one bothered us at all. The local folks are very friendly also. Very good AT&T and Verizon reception.
If you haven't been to the Rt. 100 area, it's beautiful. A lot of great hikes and bike riding. Warren Falls is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend this spot.

Beautiful spot and lovely town. I also kept a low profile and aside from walking around town and hiking the trail, remained quietly self-contained within my Sprinter.
Lots of locals come at all hours of the day but especially morning and evening. I would remain as low key as possible so this place remains open for everyone as an overnight parking option.
Stayed only one night as to not bring attention, had no issues.

This parking lot also has a Mad River Valley Free WIFI Hotspot. You have to share an email address to obtain access.

There is a coffee/cafe in the same lot area called the Sweet Spot and they have organic coffee, spirits, and food.

spent last night there. Was not bothered by anyone. I kept a low profile as much as I could.

Report Check-In

Great spot near a trail, restaurants, and Vermont’s oldest covered bridge. There were a lot of people coming and going in the evening hours and in the morning, but none said anything other than hello. With that said… I could see people closing this spot if you stay too long, or set up camp, or otherwise disrespect the area. The locals seem to take a lot of pride in the waterfront location - so please keep it open by being respectful, keeping it clean, and not staying too long.

Free parking and river access. In the small town of Waitsfield, VT. Small parking lot surrounded by trees, next to the Mad River. VT's oldest covered bridge crosses river. No signs for , no camping or overnight parking. It is a lovely spot.
