The parking lot for the Norstead Viking Experience is empty after their operating season (mid-September). You can park anything from a van to a big rig on this gravel parking lot with fairly level ground. Check out the Viking village while you’re here!

Big sign, no overnight permit!
We visited Norstead and asked permission to stay the night. They agreed, but somewhat reluctantly. Apparently the nearby private campgrounds aren't happy about them letting people stay for no charge as it reduced the campground's revenue. So they told us what happens after 5:30 (when they close) is not their concern.
We stayed in their nice gravel lot with the sounds of the ocean in the background. A few people walk out to the point along the nearby trail, but otherwise quiet and beautiful.
