Quiet bushcamp at Boteti River with many elefant and hippo tracks, but in the river we saw only cows and heard thousands of frogs in the night. Far away from the main road and local houses. Very weak Orange-signal.

those coordonates leads to an overgrown clearing right next to the main track where all the cattle + elephants walks... I wouldn't sleep there but from this point we left the track and drove ca 70m in the riverbed. easy offroad between the bushes, just the last slope is steep and required low range. Not for big rig tho and obviously not in rainy season. Inside the river bed it is absolutely beautiful ! plenty of wood fire. We stayed there two days and saw only 3 very friendly locals. lots of elephants passing by at night and other non-identified animals noises !
Report Check-Incompletely overgrown and no sight at this spot. we parked 2,5 kilometres before almost next to the river. Anyhow a fence on the other side is protecting the cattle from the animals from the park, so the fence keeps the wildlife away from the water...
Report Check-InAimed for Boteti River bushcamp and came across here. Small clearing suitable for RTT. fallen tree with area for fire, plenty of wood. Relatively flat but grassy, possibly suitable for ground tent depending on time of year and thickness of base of tent. Many birds, some cattle passed further down and could hear people over the river but not disturbed. Away from road, peaceful
