Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Got a knock the morning after spending what i thought was a very peaceful night here. One other van was parked here and we were both asked to leave, apparently the cops had “gotten calls that people were camping here”
Probably not a great option anymore.
Report Check-InRolled in late, just to sleep. Parked at west end of the street and found it noisy starting around 5am (your 4am if you’re coming from the west like us).
Report Check-InParked here for 1 night with absolutely no issues - were a 17ft brightly painted campervan. Pulled in at 11pm, I think we were the only people but there's loads of space. The occasional car drove past at night, a tiny bit busier in the morning. There's a mcdonalds a few minutes walk away if you need to use toilets. 30 min drive from Zion
Report Check-InA lot of street parking for sure! Arrived at 10:30pm from Washington, UT (where there weren’t any overnight camping, even Walmart didn’t allow) that was 15 minutes away. No other vans or campers parked here at the moment, and there is the occasional traffic from locals (so some noise).
Updated 6/1/2023: Woke up this morning to curious (and sweet) cattle. We parked along the side that there’s a wire fence, not realizing it’s a farm! No one disturbed us overnight. Traffic noise did continue through the night and into the morning when we left.
Report Check-InWe parked behind the post office! Lots of traffic until around 12:30am. 2bars on T-mobile. No one bothered us. Could park anywhere along this street and watch the sunrise. There’s quite a few turnouts on 59 also heading towards Apple Valley, Colorado city, Kanab. Mostly BLM. Left around 7:30am on Easter Sunday!
Report Check-InWe slept on the same street but more east. Yes many spots, we thought about respecting people privacy, so not directly in front of their house.
Report Check-InWe came here to evade 50 mile wind gusts. Because we didn’t want to take up more space than necessary (combined we are 60 ft long) and we didn’t want to be a problem, we didn’t open slides and also left at first light.
No one bothered us and it was pretty quiet.
