This is a trailhead parking lot for the nearby log chute trail. It is just a gravel lot, no facilities, but is well off the main highway (35) and is quiet. There are picnic tables, garbage cans and an outhouse 200 m down the road at the log chute area. A sign in this lot says there's a 72 hour parking limit.
