Very quiet forest road off Penny Creek Rd. Take the 2nd right after passing all the houses. Steep first part, but no issues getting up. Road goes past a cell tower and then there's a spot in the woods to park next to the road. Not very big, wouldn't recommend large RVs, but great for a van. There might be other spots further down. Great cell signal! Might make some deer friends.

Spent one night here and on the following afternoon a pickup drove by and the driver yelled “you can’t live here” as he passed. I didn’t see any trespassing signs but I double checked the map and this land is near but not quite in national forest territory. The cell signal is perfect and it’s quiet here, but I don’t think I would recommend this place because of the above issue. You’re probably better off checking the sites on NF-27 south of penny creek road.
Also, the gravel road up is pretty steep. Made it in my promaster but probably wouldn’t have risked it in wet conditions.
