My favorite spot on the way to/ from CO. The sun rises are incredible.

Nice spot. Excellent night time viewing of sky. Quiet road in evening. No overnight parking within the park.

nice little spot to stop overnight right before you enter the park. the sign says no overnight camping but I believe that is for the park territory just beyond this little spot.

wonderful spot to overnight before visiting the volcano. witnessed gorgeous cloudscapes and a thunderstorm. no services. keep it clean!

Medium-sized turnout on Hwy 325 right before Monument Entrance. Room for maybe 5 rigs, but we were the only ones here last night. You will hear traffic from the highway, but it wasn’t too bad. Not too much traffic. No amenities, but great view.
The crater rim trail is definitely worth doing with amazing views of the Sierra Grande. I recommend to do the hike in the morning because the weather becomes unpredictable in the afternoon and they will kick you off the trail if there is lightning within 10 miles (this happened to us twice yesterday). Enjoy!

Nice flat turnout right before the park entrance. Quiet and peaceful. Very safe vibe with stunning views. A really nice place to stay overnight.

Here now. Absolutely beautiful. Be careful driving at full speed —especially after night fall — cows are let out of the pastures and wander the road.

This was amazing! We spent two nights here and weren't bothered by anyone. A few people stopped in to leave their trailers for an hour or two or stretch legs a moment, but most of the time we were here alone. I got some gorgeous pictures of the Volcano, only complaint was that the bit of grass here was quite prickley and full of thorns which we tracked into the motorhome and found with stocking feet later.
