Truck and camper down in the canyon. No problem. Great place.

We didn’t drive down the hill because we got here late. I wouldn’t take anything longer than 30’ because of the 1st turn. We stayed at the top for 3 nights. It wasn’t super quiet, each evening the locals drove down to the bottom but didn’t bother us. We woke up to people camping next to us at the top even though there’s plenty of room by the river. That being said, I wouldn’t drive alongside the river if there’s any chance of rain. Mud will become very soft, but there’s designated spots. This is a hidden gem. Don’t ruin it. Take a trash bag with you if you explore.

Very limited T mobile. Good starlink. Good for working nomads.

Hard to get to with a couple miles of washboard roads and def not worth detouring for.

That said, camping alone down in the canyon with the place to myself was kinda unique and cool.

Water level v low and stagnant since area farms use river water to irrigate fields during summer and fall. I imagine it’s pretty scenic in the spring w higher water levels and probably good fishing then.

I smelled manure from area fields but it wasn’t terrible.

Really lovely little canyon. The road in was a little rough but definitely available for low clearance vehicles. Some highway noise and cows at night.

Report Check-In

Easy to find. Quiet. Somewhat close to highway. We arrived at night passing through on our way to Utah. Got up and kept cruising. Did not go down to lower level near river. Lots of garbage around unfortunately. Also a bit smelly. Surrounded by farmland.

GPS will take you to wrong location, just look for cauldron linn sign and turn down. Awesome camping spots, near the waterfall. I parked along the river and got a good nights sleep.

Great spot for the night, met some locals. Sounds like it can get crowded, but only a couple of fisherman here when we arrived. 2 bars ATT LTE
