Healdsburg Parking Lot | Informal Campsite

Stayed on a Saturday night, a tad apprehensive from the last unwelcoming review but I could not have asked for a quieter night in a city. Slept without interruption, been here for about 12 hours. There are vans and trailers parked that have been here longer. Walked to the plaza park, there is so much art and lights. Has been a sweet experience. Continue being respectful, welcoming places have felt a bit slim in the area.

This was a decent place to park until about 2am when some drunk people started being loud and were hitting golf balls toward our van. One hit the van and we asked them to stop. They left and then came back screaming that we weren't welcome. We ended up leaving at 3am because we didn't feel safe anymore. Park at your own risk!

This was perfect after a long stretch of no overnight rest stops on the highway. I only stayed one night, 10p-8a, but wasn't bothered at all. Well-lit, lots of other cars parked there (both just parked and some campers). I did do my stealth camping setup just in case.

Worked great for one night! Other cars parked ovn as well. Someone rolled in w a teardrop camper at 6am and parked in the spot directly next to us but other than that it was an uneventful evening.

nous avons dormi une nuit dans le stationnement. personne n'est venu nous avertir. il n'y a aucun signe que nous n'avons pas le droit sauf à quelques endroits bien indiqué.

This is a large parking lot and lots of cars are here, including vans. Here for one night and leaving early in the morning! 3 bars on T-mobile. We left around 7:30.

Such a good spot! A few other people sleeping in cars. It was very quiet over night. The portapotties are too filthy to use, but Safeway is just down the street.
Nice little town!

Good stop for overnight or visiting the town. Many spots at night but the parking is used for the business around. Has a pit toilet and walking distance to grocery store. One RV was there and some other cards.

As described. Large municipal parking lot, well lit, with plenty of space for dozens of vans or other vehicles capable of fitting into a standard parking space. It is possible to park trailers or larger vehicles across spaces in the back, and we saw a few business-owned vans and trailers doing that, but I'd be cautious about doing so with an obvious RV. Otherwise, no signage prohibiting overnight parking, and there were plenty of other vehicles overnight on a Wednesday night. A few raised voices shortly after midnight, but otherwise not bad at all for a city center. Two bars Verizon, enough for a video conference with a cellular booster. The lot serves businesses around the town center, so numerous additional vehicles arrive starting around 8am.

Great place for a quick overnight stay! There are a few homeless people, but we had no issues here. Healdsburg is a lovely town and this place has you within walking distance of discovering a wonderful little city! And Safeway is right there as well!

Well lit lot, there were quite a few people coming and going around 11pm during the week. There are a couple of porta-potties in the lot which is a plus but that means homeless people coming in and out of the lot. Nobody bothered us in our prius.

As described … it’s a municipal lot. However, there are no ‘no parking’ signs, there is an area which belongs to the hotel that you can’t park in, and there is a farmers market sign but when I was here on sat morning in April, there was no farmers market! On the whole a very, very, very quiet nite. Very little road noise, if any. The Safeway if you need to get provisions is literally 100 yards from the end of the lot. Keep it on the downlow ppl please. Especially you RV types that like to roll up in these places and put out the the lawn chairs and fire up the grill like you own the joint. This is a free, flat, quiet space. Let’s not burn it, please!!!! (Edit: ended up spending 3 nights there - no issues)

Large free municipal parking lot. Some spots are for the hotels, clearly marked.

Rest of the parking lot is free parking, except saturday mornings when there’s a farmers market.
