South Africa
Family run restaurant with a nice play area for children, seating outside and some inside for the restaurant (pet friendly). They have a fairly broad menu (catering for vegetarians/vegans, too) making food for breakfast and lunch (as of Nov 2021, closing around 17:00). The Rooibos milkshakes are definitely worth a try!
The farmstall has loads of local wine and beer, a wide range of Rooibos products, as well as a broad array of homemade products; jams, marmalade’s, sauces, rubs, soaps, etc. We also saw some fresh produce, cheese and meat.
If you also looking for some gifts/trinkets, there are two containers outside (part of the shop) which sell some gift items (leather bags, frames, pot plant stands, etc.), and some pre-loved items (clothing and books).
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Stopped here for lunch. Very good food, large portions, and very good price. You can also buy meat, vegetables, and other supplies here. A good stop over.
Report Check-InReally nice place! They have hundreds of types of rooibos tea and you can also do a tasting (think you can choose 7 for maybe 70 rand?). Also delicious food - burgers, breakfasts, soups, sandwiches etc and also bigger like lamb shank or curry. Lots of other things for sale too (gifts, cosmetics, spices, preserves, Veges, etc). Definitely worth a stop.
Report Check-InNice place with local food, preserves and crafts. Would not recommend the brownie in packets on the way in. Just tastes like sugar. Disappointing!
Report Check-Inlovely place. try the egg florentine and the veggie wrap with phenomenal sweet potato chips. best meals we had in quite a while.
highly recommended
