Description

Wild dispersed site on BLM land overlooking Christmas Valley, nestled between some sagebrush and a large Juniper. Beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset. We were driving towards Crack in the Ground and it was getting late so we were pleased to find this spot. About 15 minutes from the town of CV and about 3 miles from the Crack. Dirt site about 25yds from the road with a turnaround for larger rigs. No amenities, but fair cell service on Google Fi. Road in was some decently bumpy washboard but you could make it in any vehicle. High clearance if you want to go fast :). On satellite imaging looks like some other options for dispersed camping along this road towards the Crack.

Nice camp spot with decent views of the valley. Fair bit of broken glass in the camp site on the tree side. Some traffic on the road out to Crack in the Ground on Saturday morning.

Beautiful spot as described by other commenters. Rolled in late after fill-up in Christmas Valley. Road in was very washboardy in my 26' class C but navigable. Could tell that it would be more difficult after a rain on dirt track. Parked at first spot, plenty of space to turn around. Extremely peaceful and totally quiet, well off the beaten path with an incredible view of the stars and valley lights. Beautiful sunrise and farm valley view. Decent Verizon service.

Report Check-In

As described, the road is bumpy but slow and steady in our motor home and it was fine.
The suggest spot was taken when we got there but 1/2 mile up the road there is more spots. We backed into the first driveway on the left up to some lava rocks in the sand but we realized after that a bit further up the road (the next driveway) there some very large camping spots with fire pits.
Looks like it could a party spot for several rv’s but it was very quiet while we were there.
