Beautiful lodge with a few campsites right on the river. Good rates and friendly staff. Campsites are all level, overlooking the river. We are only here for one night but it's one of those places you'd love to stay longer.

This camp is fantastic. Sites have perfectly manicured grass level sites with rim flo pool restaurant braai fantastic ablutions on the river WOW highly recommended

Unique things - Has THE most beautiful infinity pool overlooking the Orange River
Ablutions - Probably the most modern ablutions I have ever seen
Better sites - Site number 2 to the right gets a little more shade
Access - 1,2km off main road on fairly decent road 7/10, getting to the campsite is a fairly steep slope as well
Internet - WiFi at the restaurant, no Vodacom signal

Perfection
What an amazing place. We have been on the road for three weeks and when we arrived at Waschbank we realized that this was the pinnacle of our trip. From the incredibly friendly welcome at reception we knew this was going to be something special. The camp sites are laid out in a tiered manner and all are reasonably level. Lush grass, a tap and power at each site plus some communal braais all with a view of the river, make for the perfect spot. There is a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the river which was a fantastic way to cool down after our 7 hour day. The ablution block really should not be called that. It is the best shower/toilet room we have seen. Spotless and honestly reminded me of a 4 Seasons bathroom….I am not exaggerating! We have not tried the bar and restaurant yet, will do that on our July trip, but again it looked fabulous and spotless. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

When the river is in flood this is Zambia in South Africa. Beautiful place. Great campsite. Great restaurant. Fantastic staff. Will come here again...

Didn’t stand as they charge 360 for camping per stand.
There is no single rate for solo travelers.

We found the Waschbank River Lodge accidently. By visiting their website it was said that they will start with a camping facility close to the lodge. So we became the first visitors for camping.
The place is awesome, with a great view over the river. Breathtaking at sunset.
We payed 200 Rand for our Sprinter Van and 2 persons. May be that was a special price because the restrooms where not ready yet.
Great breakfast at the lodge for 60 Rand. We didn't try the dinner in their restaurant but the place looks promising.
This place is the best choice for camping in this area. Absolutely quiet. 5 bars 4G Cellphone connection, WiFi at the reception and in the restaurant.
The access road starts a few meters north of the bridge, watch for the signs.
