Description
Updated: "No camping in the parking lot" sign posted.
Large shaded daytime parking lot and nice trails.
Super size parking lot. Any size of RV can fit there and you can pull in and turn around inside the parking lot see pictures. There was no sign for overnight parking but that doesn’t mean no ordinance from the city exists. I passed all night there without any issue. At 7:45 the sheriff car stopped just in front of the parking lot and then went away without any intervention. There is no garbage can on the site and no water or a restroom. Don’t leave any trash on the site and be quiet since there are two owls in the front of the parking lot. don’t spoil the place for the next RV folks.

there's a "no camping" sign that I didn't see when entering late around 9pm. Nobody bothered me and I was up by 7am to stroll down the beautiful path.
I'd say that this place is permanently closed and I just got lucky.
Camping on water management district land is permitted with a reservation: https://www.camplife.com/campground/St%20Johns%20River%20Water%20Management%20District but I couldn't find this site even though the road in leads to a nice spot with fire place. The gate has a combination lock.
