Really easy border crossing. Closes at 17:00. Did not need a covid test to enter Uganda. You will need Shillings to pay for fees, except Visa. There was an illegal group of men pretending to be inspectors, just before the bridge on the Tanzania side. They didn't have uniforms. They do have a metal arm, which they lower and raise. We did not pay them. We told them they did not look official and had already been inspected. They opened the gate with little problem.

Pretty awesome little border crossing, no hassle. Smooth exit on Ugandan side. Took a little longer on the Tz side as they were a little surprised to see us. I don't think many overlanders pass through this border post. Nonetheless they processed the carnet, provided a temporary import permit (free) for the motorcycle and provided us with visas on arrival (after approx 2 hours) costing $50 each. They also helped to change small amount of Ugandan shillings. Would definitely recommend eating and filling up before as little on Tz side until Omurushaka, just a long dusty road passing through small villages. 2 ATMs also along this long road.

Very smooth border! Quick Covid rapid test for free. Register prior arrival at the website Afyamsafiri.moh.go.tz
You have to have a negative PCR test certificate.
The Carnet took the longest...

Easy border to cross Uganda/Tanzania. Rapid cove test done at the border (Uganda-Tanzania direction). Visa done at the border
