Description

Nice park where we can sleep overnight and even stay up to 3 nights for free, you need to call the Chambers County Park department for a permit at (409) 267-2409. Nice view of the Lake, any size rigs. We spent one night very quiet of course we were à weekday in November. You need to be self contained no water, no electricity and no dump stations. Toilets on site, picnic tables, playground, fishing, boat ramp.

Nice quiet place to stop on our way. We arrived too late to obtain a permit as mentioned in other posts. Didn't leave a message on their answering machine, but had no problem camping there for the night. We were able to fill up with fresh water and left as there is not much to do or see here.

Great Location. Wonderful scenery, wildlife viewing and friendly people. county offices were closed due to federal holiday but we emailed and called with our info and had no problems staying one night. Mind the rule board at the entrance to the park!

Another great stay in a quiet spot with a beautiful sunset over the water. Some elextric hookups. Usually quiet.

Very nice free county park. Some longer walks once you get to the boat ramp. Dog friendly. Very easy to get the permit. Office closes at 4pm. Good AT&T signal. Nice spot to spend a few days in the heat, plenty of shade trees.

A nice park with a playground, fishing peer, picnic tables and walking trails. 3 nights free camping. No hook ups allowed.

We called the number provided by a previous user and were routed to this number 409-267-2718 The lady was very nice and and explained that we needed to email a copy of our drivers license with the nights we wanted to stay and the name of the park to this email address. [email protected]

Good spot for overnight parking. You’re supposed to have a permit from the county to stay, but we arrived at night and just picked a spot near other campers and had no issues. It was quiet at night. There is a bathroom but it’s pretty creepy. No actual doors or stalls.

County park on the bay. Some sites with electric although we did not hook up. Bathrooms with cold showers. Sheriff drove through numerous times so area feels pretty safe. A considerable amount of traffic and fishing on well-lit peer.

More info, there is electricity and water spigets everywhere in the park but since the lady at the Chambers told me I had to be self contained I guess we are not allowed to use them. There is a shower in the restroom but didn't work even though the toilet and sink had water. added more pics.
