gravel road not far from I-70. this is a public fishing spot with boat ramp access. Any low clearance vehicle could make it to the spot. 3 primitive mostly flat campsites with parking spots (of various sizes) and fire rings along the Lamine river. spent one night here in a van and had no problems. there was one other vehicle here overnight as well. minimal trash and a bit of highway traffic noise, but way better than sleeping in a parking lot. got 4 bars of Verizon service.

Good for a night’s rest on a road trip. Nice spot on the banks of the Lamine River at the edge of a farm field - along a gravel road just a couple minutes off the interstate. Camping is explicitly permitted here (there is a sign indicating so). Highway noise is present but unobtrusive. We found the area clean and peaceful.
Report Check-InVery nice spot, slept great. Had some quiet neighbors. Heard a pack of coyotes howling at dusk from far away. Decent cell service. A nice place to spend the night or two.
Report Check-InTop spot. Definitely room for 5/6 cars. Very quiet and between the corn fields.
Report Check-Invery peaceful and quiet right next to the river. looks like 4 official spots and possibly a tent spot all the way to the back.
Report Check-InStayed here one night. Wonderful spot surrounded by corn fields. Beautiful stars at night. Only one other car camper there with us. We’re in a converted van. Quiet, level spots, right off the highway. Highly recommend.
Report Check-Ingreat spot not too far off the highway. i pulled in at 7:30pm on a wed. and no one else was here. tent campers came later in the evening. sharif came by at 9pm and was very friendly. said the only thing to "worry" about would be teenagers off-roading. three bars on verizon.
Report Check-InVery nice campsite, just a few minutes off i70. There were three other vans when I pulled in late last night before they were all gone this morning.
Report Check-Innice place for the night. a couple rvs and a tent camper were already here when I arrived around 2 am after a long day driving. heard some coyotes while I was setting up. make sure to lock your food up or you may have some unwanted guests.
Report Check-InNice flat parking lot near the river to post up for the night. Lots of birds, little bit of interstate noise but nothing I’m not used to. There’s currently a POS trailer sitting in the lot but I didn’t notice anyone in or around it.
Report Check-InVery quiet, no hi-jinx going on. Really nice and free. One other couple with us tonight. 3 designated spots, away from each other. There would be 4 but a dilapidated, abandoned trailer is occupying the 4th. I love the Missouri conservation areas!
Report Check-InDefinitely some highway noise at night, but generally very peaceful. We stayed for three days.
Report Check-InAs described. Nice change from the rest stops. Sheriff drove by around 10pm.
Report Check-InNice quiet spot by the river that had individual camp spots with fire rings. About a mile drive on a dirt road but easily passible in a low clearance vehicle.
Report Check-InEasy spot to get to with 2WD and beautiful! Some spots are more difficult to get level, but still possible. We talked to a ranger who came by and they said you can stay for 14 days and they were really nice! We sadly had to leave this beautiful spot because the Verizon reception was not good enough to work.
Report Check-InI came here in February 2022, and we were alone. The temperature also dropped to 14° F that night. This time, in milder weather, the three sites are full, and there are 2 or 3 additional vehicles parked about. Strangely, the pit privy that was here is now gone. Still, this is a quiet place, about a mile away from I 70 as the crow flies. 2 or 3 sites have fire rings. ATT has 2 bars, and LTE. The three official sites were filled by about 4 pm.
Report Check-InPerfect spot, quiet, peaceful. Trees and river. We had a perfect night all alone. 3 sites are available. No amenities. Clear night very nice for stargazing.
Report Check-InGreat little spot! Quiet, pleasant and shady. Only three spots, but we were alone. River behind and field of crops in front.
Report Check-InNice spot! Had some funky neighbors who played country music and drank beer out of styrofoam restaurant cups all night, one of who told me to "Just keep on passing through [Missouri]". Beautiful scenery and a nice muddy river.
Report Check-InBoat launch and popular local fishing spot. Stayed a couple of nights. 3 flat unserviced designated camping sites. Trees along the river provide some shade. Ranger and Sheriff checked in daily. 14 day maximum stay. Far enough from the highway not to be bothered by the traffic. Would recommend based on my experience. #YMMV
Report Check-InA Missouri Conservation Dept. campground. 3 campsites with gravel parking areas. Pit privy. Boat ramp. So far this evening, we are alone here. Lovely spot. Very quiet. No road noise. ATT 2 bars and LTE.
