It’s definitely still open, just very small so no space for us, we stayed at the next stop. Some people seems to be there for while already…

The guy who owned the little triangle piece of land behind the trench called the Sheriff on us 4th of July weekend and again this weekend. I married the spot as closed but would say "camp at your own risk" technically it's not illegal but the yuppie landowner from Seattle comes in the in weekend and ducks with people. This is county land and a public beach so I encourage people to exercise their right.

Still open, was nice and peaceful, no one stopped in and bugged me. Would highly suggest if your in the area.

very pretty spot on the beach. no one bothered me in my van but it was also pouring rain the whole time. good cell coverage

Awesome spot. Rained a little over night and the sand got pretty muddy. Beautiful other than that with no issues at all.

Parked here for one night, amazing spot! It's smaller now due to the trench that was dug, but there was still plenty of room for my car and the van that also parked overnight. It's right on the beach, so the view is great, and nobody else came by. No road noise, just the sound of the waves.

It's called Wash Away Beach. I was picking up beach garbage when a 4th generation local spotted me. He rewarded me by explaining the history of the area, including how some of the streets and homes in the area were washed into the ocean during a huge storm.
There is a trench dug across part of the parking spot described here. I was told it was dug to limit the number of people that could stay there as some people were bordering on squatting.
The local guy said there was no problem with self contained vehicles parking overnight but pleas respect the land and the neighbors. Going for a walk on the beach? Grab a bag and pick up some trash, maybe you won't find much but every bit helps.

Absolument pas fermé, on y a passé la nuit, super tranquille, pas de visite demandant de l'argent ... Nous étions 5 vans ou vr et il y avait aussi des gens en tente

Really nice spot right by the beach! Unfortunately there’s a guy and his friend that comes around every few days trying to scam people out of $20/per night. We had the pleasure of meeting both of these scammers during our 4 night stay here. The friend or the “owner” will come by claiming that you’re trespassing on private property and tell you that if you want to stay then you’ll have to pay $20 or they’ll call the cops. We called their bluff and told them to call the cops so we could confirm if this really was private property, and the cops never showed! They both drive black ford pickup trucks. The friend covers his license plate. And the “owner’s” license plate is “C37225W”. We also talked to a local who told us that this was public land and the those guys were full of crap. It sucks that there’s crappy people in the world who want to scam people out of staying in nice spots like this. But stay alert and please come! Don’t miss out on this wonderful beach spot!

Was a wonderful stay - the only weird part is someone came by and asked for 20$ for the property owner… don’t know if he was legit

This is a great spot. There are two RVs and a van here tonight. It feels like an established spot.

Definitely be careful where you drive. There is hard pack that is easy to drive on and loose sand that needs a 4x4. There are a couple of good spots easy to get to on just hard pack sand and several back in the lot with less than ideal but still pretty good views.

End of blocked off street on beach. Camped here for years now on and off with zero issues. Take Whipple Road to Tamarack street then take the right before the end of the street.
