Exiting Brazil. Made it to the border on the very last day of our visa. First immigration went fast. Then Aduana took a long time with the paperwork. Immigration officer wanted to check our vehicle out of curiosity. All in all it took 45min.

Again very quick. First you'll get your stamp. Then a guy checks your license plate and made the tip ready. In 15 minutes we were done :)
We have a Toyota 4Runner. The road from here to the other border crossing isn't great, but we've drove it in 2 hours.
Good luck!

About 10 minutes to exit Peru. Just passport, vaccine certification and they stamped. You may be required to fill out a small entry/exit form. No vehicle check. ‼️ The Brazilian road ahead from the border ( a couple
hundred kms ) is terrible for motorhomes / vans. Big dangerous holes and you must drive slow, hours of driving to the left and right to avoid them. We wished we knew as we would of chosen Puno border instead.

Take a few minutes to leave Brazil! Only passaporte and car documentation.

Somente alguns minutos para a saída do Brasil! Só precisamos apresentar os passaportes e documento do carro.

Super easy entry to Brazil. Got stamped in with our passports (building on the left), and got our TIP in the building on the right. Barely looked at the car, didn’t ask any questions.

Easy boarder crossing going from Brazil to Peru. On the right hand side you have immegration, left hand side aduana. They didn’t check the car. 15 minutes in total. Boarder is open until 17:30

Very smooth process entering to Brazil. Migration first, they only wanted passports, no Covid vaccination or test whatsoever. Afterwards TIP on the other side. Straightforward and nothing special needed. Didn't ask or check for fruits, veggies or similar. One of the easiest borders of the whole trip.

Check out of Brazil with motorcycle: Feb 21, 2022. Fast and easy process: 15 min. Enter 8:00 Sat morning. Offices are clearly marked and block the road so impossible to miss. First Immigration: no line, handed passport and stamped out. The walk across the road to Recieta (customs). Same process: handed motorcycle entry TIP document, guy looked at bike for 30 seconds, stamps the document again, I take picture, and done!

Border open again since 14.02.22. We left Brasil at this border, to enter Perú.

Report Check-In

We crossed the border here into Peru. Very friendly people and also pretty fast process. They are open everyday from 08hrs to 18hrs. However, from 12hrs to 14hrs they are closed for lunch and you’ll have to wait.

I was a bit late with my TIP (a small 8 months). I was fined 10% the value of the vehicle (as per the declared value on the original TIP. I had no problem with payment but it it would have been a crazy number, one could have stamped out the passport and return when the offices are closed. They have wood barricades set up for locals. just make sure you are not returning any time soon

Very friendly and efficient. Talk to guy at desk outside. He will send you to migración first. USA citizen gets 90’days automatic. Then he will send you to aduana. The aduana agent speaks English and wants to practice. Quick process. Wanted to see plates and VIN of car. Gave 90 days. Just remember to always check all spelling and numbers. No one asked about dogs or food. UPDATE- technically you could be asked for official exit form from Peru showing a vet exam and a stamp from Ministery of Agriculture. We were not asked, but perhaps they did not notice our dogs.

Report Check-In

Opening time for Aduana is from 8 a.m. Immigration at 7 a.m.
There is a list with fresh food, animals and some another nazural stuff which you can not bring to Brazil, but they do not checked our car. They were nice and they speak English.

The aduana is closed beetwin 12h and 2 pm. The immigration is open. Change dollares at the border because the DAB don't accept foreign credit card in the small town. You must wait Rio Branco or Porto Velho with the Bradesco bank.

Coming into Brazil. For some reason we thought procedures were at Brasilea, and not here, and the police let us through, then chased us down 5 km later... procedure was okay after that, nothing special.

Report Check-In

Procedure leaving Brazil was straightforward and took 10 minutes. We only had to wait for customs to return from lunch.

Report Check-In

We got our passports and motorbikes stamped out then stayed in the Brazilian town Assis Brazil, thinking we would save time in the morning. The following day we went to the Peruvian border to get stamped in but they wouldn't stamp us in as we need to be stamped out of one country and into the other on the same day. So we had to get stamped in and out of Brazil again (fastest trip in Brazil 😜) and then into Peru.

Report Check-In

no need to sign your vehicle out. We skipped straight past it and stayed in town and returned the next day for paper work. You could potentially stay over the border for the night as well
