Wara Del Salar | Hostel

40 bolivianos per person per night for a matrimonial. We felt it was a good option while in Uyuni. We parked our van on the street in front of the hostel and had no issues, there is a police station around the corner (actually, we could've slept in the van had we not needed the facilities). Clean room, clean bathroom, hot shower and good, reliable WiFi. Good location. Don't expect to sleep in past 7:00am because they start cleaning at that time and the walls are so thin. It worked out for us, we recommend. Friendly and helpful staff.

Similar experience as other users.
Friendly staff, kitchen open till 20.00, good wifi, paid 40 bol, clean place, old bed but comfy anyways.
Could park my motorcycle inside but needed to get it out by 6 AM
The downside for me: REALLY NOISY! and you have to take your own toilet paper

Overall: Nice place for one or two nights

This place had everything that I was looking for. Private room, good Wi-Fi, a place to wash and dry clothes, a hot shower and a kitchen (poorly equipped). I paid 40 BOB per night, stayed 3 nights. The place is a bit cold but the blankets are good. It couldn't get colder than camping on the salar so the bed felt like a warm bath. Would definitely stay again.

We paid 40pp for a private room with double bed. Showers are warm. WiFi is good. Kitchen is small. Really friendly owner. We could park the motorcycle in the hallway (place for 2)

Now is 45 bs pp, is ok for the price, hot shower, the pwner tells you only to take 5-10 minutes, which i think its ok because you are in a desert, anyway, internet is slow and he changed the password after check out, so if you wanna stay in the living room you can do it with no internet xd...
Bed was confy and warm, no need for more blankets
Kitchen is just ok.

Decent for 50B for one person in a private. shower was hot, internet was ok for bolivia.
bed old, blanket warm!
could park my motorbike in the lobby at night.
maybe room for 4bikes max.

really correct for back packers or bicycle. if you are looking for friendly place with correct accomodation, this is for you. 40 bob/p. wifi acceptable. we stay 4 nights.

Very friendly owner, I didn't sleep here but talking to him allowed me to fill my bottles with fresh water for free and gave me some tips about traveling across Bolivia.

Yes...the owner is very friendly and yes...its cheap for Uyuni (40 bob/pers in a twin room)...but that's it!

- Its very cold inside
- litery not adapted (single sheet in a double bed)
- bed not comfy (curved)
- weird smells all over the hostel (bad aeration)
- main kitchen open until 20h00 (lol) but there is a small kitchen upstairs.
- you have to go back at the hostel (residence) at 22h00 after that its locked!!!!! (Re-lol) or let the owner know at what time you come back...this is def not a hostel!
- the deco, let's not talk about it!
- infrastructure #strange
- lots of signs everywhere...enjoy reading

For low cost travellers that has no other choice where to stay...choose Wara Del Salar.

We travel with a dog and the old (super friendly) woman said she loved dogs so she allowed us to have our dog in the room.

Nice place, clean and friendly. Beds are comfy and have lots of blankets, which is good because there is no heating (gets chilly in the common areas). Internet average, cable tv and hot gas showers. Three Kitchens available with most things you need (pots, pans, crockery but not much cutlery). No toilet roll or towels.
40bob/ pp in twin room or matrimonial shared bathroom, 50 pp for matrimonial with private bathroom. Great location. Would stay again
(update: 28/7/18: we stayed here again after the salar when we came back to uyuni and had a downstairs bedroom with just enough space for bicycles and it was warmer down here. Comfy spring mattress and quiet at night, but Wi-fi doesn’t reach the room. Also, if you’re out later than 10pm you just ring a bell and are let in) For the price you pay, it’s a good place.

Still 40bol/person, still very friendly, still average WiFi. Space for bicycles in the common area.
Only negatives were the super saggy beds and poorly fitting sheets...

80 BOL (40 p/person) for a double room, shared bath. Hot shower, Wifi Ok, two kitchens and staff are REALLY FRIENDLY. Recomended for that price in Uyuni. Not a problem by bicycle. :)

Great find. 35bob pp for two people in a private room. Allowed us to bring our salty bicycles inside the room. Very hot showers, agua potable, good wifi, warm beds, next to Main Street and 100m from markets. Friendly owner

Stayed two nights here. Gustavo, the owner is very helpful, though he's not as fluent with his english as he should. He'll try his best to communicate though.

Got a good price of 35 BoB per person for three in a common room. Parked the car in front both nights without any problem. WiFi is fast in the second floor. Very hot gas showers on the second floor and electric not-so-hot on the first floor. A simple kitchen on each floor. Right in the center of the town.

Overall we had a very nice stay. I recommend the place.

Clean, friendly owner, wifi, hot shower, simple kitchen. 1 room shared bathroom for 1 person is 60 pesos. I parked my motorcycle inside building on night time. Only for small motorcycle. You can wash your cloth by yourself and there is place for dry cloth.
