Latest Check-Ins

Nice campground, primitive for the off season. Was fine for what it was but with all the water turned off we essentially paid for a picnic table and a trash can. I’d rather dispersed camp but it was nice being in the park.

Report Check-In

Nice, quiet campground, but currently offers only primitive camping on a first come basis. No water and the dump station is closed for the season. Only $10 night, $5 with a senior pass.

Report Check-In

St. Mary’s cg is in Primitive mode now & FCFS. . $10 per night, $5 with pass. No host, water, toilets, or showers. There is one pit toilet available, and trash dumpsters. No host, but Ranger presence is high! There are active Grizzlies in camp, beware! Not exaggerating, and it’s a Mama and 2 cubs. They come through sites at night. Tents are allowed, but I don’t know if I would, as a single tenter had an issue one of the nights we were there. Campsites are small and close together on one side, and open (not a single tree!) with big sites on the other side of the loop. Loops A & B are closed. Restaurants are shut, or shutting down, so come prepared with food and water. Morning temperatures are now high 30’s & we’ve had lots of rain and low- laying clouds. Clean, basic camp close to hikes and beautiful scenery. We would stay again, but reserve early if you come before mid-September.

It was first come first serve the dates we were here. Stayed 6 nights. 20 bucks a night self pay…

worth it just for the showers alone. got free shower. just have to keep pressing the button. otherwise, $20/ night first come first served.

Report Check-In

It switched to FCFS on Monday, & price changed to only $20/night. Showers located in loop C. Tip - the 2 showers in the breezeway are normal showers, turn them on & they run until you are done. The 2 showers on the exterior are push button & the stalls are much smaller. There aren't any legal free sites in this area, so this campground worked well. Only about half full the 3 nights I was there, only complaint was my neighbor who let his huge dogs run around off leash. No TMobile service, but there is free wifi at the VC just down the road.

Report Check-In

FCFS starting 8/16 until next season. 20$, includes a pass for driving the going the sun road. Just bring a picture of your payment stub or catch one of the rangers that drive through the campsite for the road pass. Still spots available on a Friday at 6:30pm. Showers in loop C.

Report Check-In

Really nice campground. Kinda hemmed in with others close by. Lot of wind. Beautiful views. Great place to remote work for a few days. Easy to stage out of for a bus tour of Going-to-the-Sun Road if your motor is too big.

Report Check-In

Nice flat sites with plenty of space. Absolutely zero shade for most spots though. The 4 showers are amazing, free, hot and plenty of flow.

Report Check-In

Previous comment says no showers, that is not true, there is a building with very hot showers in loop C, right by C150 spot. if you use starlink this is the most sky open campground in the park

2 out of 5 showers working when we were here. 156 sites including 2 group. Mainly pull through. Mostly reserved well ahead but they hold a handful of sites that you can reserve a few days before.

Standard campground. flush toilets, sinks, showers. Strong Verizon.

Report Check-In

Standard NPS campground. No showers. Clean flush restrooms. 3 bars Verizon.

Report Check-In

Free camping allowed November-March. Said nothing about April, but it was open. Stayed one night and had the area to myself. Super windy. Going to the Sun Road is closed and buried under snow, but you can snowshoe it. One pit toilet still open.

Report Check-In

We stayed here two weekend nights in Loop C, which seems to be the only loop with a couple showers. The showers can get busy and lines form. Both days we easily found spots in the late morning, as advised by the Visitor Center for a central campground with spots likely available. The campground would be full when we returned in the early evening. $20/night and first-come, first-served. Reservable during part of the summer, during peak season. Primitive camping will start Sept 16, 2022 and continue until May 13, 2023. Fall/spring is $10 and winter looks to be free. Potable water, dump stations, and comfort stations will then be closed, but there will still be vault toilets. Overall, a nice basic campground that was indeed central to most of the popular hikes and sights in East Glacier.

All located in loop C next to amphitheater. Free evening ranger talks at campground and nearby places. WiFi at Visitor Center nearby (works also off hours and in the parking lot).

$23 dollars. Showers are in loop A I think - see map on noticeboard. Some were hotter than others! Need bear spray if trekking. There are "proper" toilets on 2 of the loops.
