It's one of the best campsites we've ever seen. The ablutions are very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The dinner at the restaurant was also "lekker".

This was the best equipped campsite we had in 6 months! Beautiful, spacious ablutions.
Food is delicious but pricey.

Note that the point on iOverlander marks the gate, afterwards it's still 10km gravel.

agreed with all the previous comments. stunning set up with beautiful views. amazing campsites, private ablutions or shared whatever you prefer. pool just for the private campsites and another pool at restaurant and well stocked bar.
air conditioned bar and restaurant. we'd stay again anytime.
owners are very friendly and helpful.

Wow! What an incredible place! Someone has put a lot of careful thought into the design of the campsites. Probably the best designed and most comfortable campsite I’ve ever seen.
Large bathroom, spotlessly clean with ample shelves, worktops, hooks and rails for your possessions. Powerful hot shower.
Large shelter/shade. Picnic table, washing up sink, stand pipe, braai stand, fire pit, laundry sink, washing line and dustbin. Flat paved area to park on. Electricity both inside and outside. Well spaced pitches for maximum privacy.
Lovely short hike to an incredible 360 viewpoint. Clean, good temperature pool with sun beds shared only by the four private campsites.
1km walk to the bar and restaurant. Delicious steak dinner and dessert N$350pp. Well stocked shop with basic supplies.
Worth every penny of the N$260 pppn that we paid for the private camp. We will be back! Credit card accepted.
Also note that the 10km track to reach the reception is a very easy drive - takes just 15 mins at the farm speed limit of 40km/h.

Very beautiful campsites. The private campsites has his own ablutions, which are very big and clean. 230V at campsite. The owners are very nice and friendly. Enough activities to do. N$320 pppn is worth the money. Restaurant available, they serve very good oryx stake! Highly recommended!

Amazing camp & accomadation available.Privately owned reserve.
Landscape views from the raised reception & restaurant are breathtaking .Giraffe, zebra,ostrich,springbok & various antelopes can be spotted.
Camping about 1km from main reception with swimming pool .
Exceptionally clean & working ablutions.
10kms from main road however it's a game drive on the way.
Camping 170Npppn with shared ablutions.

Wow what a lovely stay. 10kms from the main road, we came for one night but stayed an extra. Echo everything that's been said here before. We stayed in the shared campsite for 170pp but the private ones also look amazing. They also have self catering chalets and rooms etc. The owner Tjaard is so friendly and helpful. Absolutely stunning surroundings and many opportunities to do hikes around (the top of the mountain trail behind the main area would be perfect for a sundowner view!!) and they also rent bikes etc. Facilities are perfect and you couldn't really ask for more. Wifi worked well in the main area albeit slightly slow, and there's a shop with necessities and some nice treats (oryx boerewors delish!!)
It's peak season and they were quiet so go show some support, the effort put into this place is awesome.

Awesome camping set-up. Sets new standards as the best facilities we’ve seen on a drive south from Nairobi. Brand new, sparkling clean, plenty of hot water and solar power. and they’ve thought of everything: from USB plugs on their charging points, to shampoo & sprays in the bathroom, to a concrete seat in the shower! The first time we’ve seen a pool for campers - there are 2 infact, one at each campsite. All topped off by great views. Charl (sp) was wonderfully friendly & helpful, despite us arriving at sunset with no booking meaning he had to open up for us - he welcomed us warmly and gave us a taster pack of farm-produced meat (delicious).

We stayed in a private campsite, and paid N$240pp, well worth it.

our second time here and we loved it.for us: 5/5!!! top 3 in our numerous campsites in Namibia and South Africa. we saw kudus, giraffes, wartdogs, ostriches... : what an amazing views on the mountains with wildlife.
very friendly owner. wifi at the reception, pools at the reception and at the campsites (2 different : private or shared), small shop for groceries, bar, restaurant, tyres reparations, ebike, sunset drive... plenty of activities : hiking, 4x4 drive, biking...
better to come at least for 2 nights because you are at 10 kilometers from the main road but it is worth it !!!
now prices : 170pppn shared ablutions or 230 pppn private ablutions. clean, new and modern : braai, shadow, table, drinkable water tap, electricty...

Five Stars.
This place has seen some serious investing and it shows.
Each spot has its own roofed area with double clean ablution and shower facilities. Swimming pool next to the campsites. No cellphone signal but lodge wifi can be received at the campsites.
The scenery is breathtaking.

I was charged $340 for one person. Beautiful, clean toilet and shower. Even though spaces apart, I could not sleep from screaming kids about 100m away.

Electric outlets are there, but there was no power after sunset, what's the point?

People left such good reviews, but this place is not worth the price , especially after a 10km drive to get there.

Was there for 5 nights on a private campsite. I agree all the positive comments! Wonderful.
Prices PPN: 200 NAD for shared campsite, 300 NAD for private campsite . It’s worth for me

Outstanding place, owners super friendly, best place we visited in NAM so far (and we where often in Namibia). We came here just for overnight but stayed some nights!!!

German: Diesen Platz muss man auf seiner Liste haben, sonst hat man echt was verpasst.

Amazing place ! Clean, new, well maintened campsite. Young and friendly owners. 150pppn for shared camping or 200pppn for private campsite.
We showed 3 giraffes, ostriches, oryx and springbocks near the campsite.
Big and clean swimming pool. Free wifi at the reception. Playground for kids. Restaurant and bar. Worth the visit!!!

We would definitely recommend this place! Beautiful lodge approx. 10km from the mainroad. There's game roaming around the lodge and they offer lots of activities. We stayed at campsite number 4. Spacious and clean private ablution, all the facilities are well thought through. When you have the time, definitely stay more than one night. It's well worth it!

Big lodge with 4 private campsites (far away from the lodge) with everything you need. Further down there are also 3 shared ablution campsites. Both spots have their own small swimming pool.

The area is stunning, big, wide open space looking towards hills as far as the eyes can see. The private campsites are far apart from each other. They have their own big ablution block. Everything is very spacious. Outside a big roofed area, picknick table, enormous braai table, separate fire pit and laundry sink and washing line. Pitch dark during the night to enjoy the stars. Everything is still new as the lodge only openend last year. At the moment they are having a special 3=2 with 400 NAD per private campsite for 2 people. Very friendly owners and they even have game rooming the property.

Clearly signposted entrance about 1 km south of Betta. Then continue on the plot for about 5 km towards reception.

Highly recommended. After the first night you will want to stay more nights…(as we did).

We came for one night and ended up staying for three. The most amazing campsite in Namibia (they also have chalets). The stars of the milky way are absolutely amazing. Each site has its own private spot and absolutely everything has been thought of. Each site has its own private ablutions: spotlessly clean, with hot water for dishwashing and even laundry. Lovely hospitable owners, Tjaard & Karen. Highly recommended 5 stars.

We paid N$ 200 per adult; half price for 6-12 years and 0-5 years free. They also had a pay for two nights, third night free offer when we stayed.

7 Beautiful Campsites with private ablution and Lapa, Braii and fire ring. Best camsite we ever had in Namibia. Spotless clean, hot water dish washing. Strongly recommended if you travelling from Helmringhausen to Sosussvley. Very nice owners. Contact Tjaard Velder +264 81 379 0593 (Whatsapp only). No cell but fast internet at the reception.

At kronenhof has 4 nice private campsites it can take upto 6 person per site with own ablution hot running water, braai area shaded place to camp swimming pool for private campers. 220 v power at site with tap outside
Its has also 3 shared campsite it can take upto 25 persons with running water at sites and hot running water at bathrooms with 4 showers and 4 toilets with swimming pool for shared campers

Each campsite has there own ablution with braai area, table to sit at shaded area with outside tap and 220V power with solar geyser.
