We couldn’t make it to the mirador further south because of a really bad road (high clearance and 4wd necessary. No big rigs!) so we searched for another spot to see the whale tail. (It’s visible at low tide. One tree blocks half of the view. We sent the drone)
Found this spot 5 minutes off the main highway, enjoyed the sunset and had a quiet night (except for howler monkey noises from the trees early in the morning).
With rain it gets pretty muddy and we towed 2 locals out of the mud while there. it’s totally doable with any car with a bit of driving skills, just avoid the mud puddles at the mirador and at the side of the street.

want to stay here a night, when WE arrived, a local says IT is too Dangerous to stay here, it's better to sleep in the Campsite. So we drove down to the Campsite an slept on a parking space near a camping uvita ballena which is quite Safe (Campingtruck)
Report Check-InVery nice view to spend the night. A few locals and tourists stopped to admire the sunset. the road leading there is easy but the spot itself is more accessible by 4x4 because there is a lot of mud. The police confirmed that we could sleep here. We felt safe.
Great spot to spend the night before going to Uvita. Nice sunset from above. The road to go here is fairly easy but steep. It was dry when we went so might be more difficult in rainy season
