Description

Our campground offers 260 spacious sites with 50/30/20 amp electricity and water. All sites are 55' paved back-ins with fire rings and picnic tables. Two dump stations are provided for your convenience as you exit the park. The campground also has electric primitive and primitive available for those wishing for a more rustic stay. These areas are first-come, first-served, and fill quickly on special weekends. All guests are required to check-in at the Campground store upon arrival before going to their site.

Our campground has many extras for your comfort including a grocery store/gift shop and two bathhouses with modern conveniences. During your stay, be sure to take advantage of our tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, cool off in our junior Olympic-size swimming pool, and participate in our planned activities.

For those seeking to stretch their legs a little more, venture out on the Legacy Trail, a 12-mile-long (8.5 miles is currently finished) paved walking and biking trail leading from the Kentucky Horse Park Campground to downtown Lexington.

Latest Check-Ins

Nice, quiet and easy to access campground. Only stayed one night when heading south but would definitely visit again for a longer stay. Cool place.

Report Check-In

This place is huge. Two playgrounds (that we saw), pool, laundry, showers etc. Central dump/water near entrance. Says $35/night but it ends up at $48. We stayed in site 139 on a Wed night. Lots of trees. Mostly horse trailers but it was clean and quiet.

Report Check-In

Lots of camp sites available for our 1 night stay. Lots of big trees for shade, although was a little muddy in well worn areas (like the doorway areas at each site) after a good rain. Bathrooms clean and convenient. After hours check in easy. Lots of space to walk the dogs. We hooked up power and water. Primitive areas are big grass lot. Beautiful countryside and quick drive to main entrance to see the giant KY Horse Park.

Report Check-In

Tent/car camping. Drove around the primitive area and didn’t see many trees, didn’t want to stay there with the 90* weather. Drove into primitive electric area lots of spots on a Sunday night and trees to park under. All primitive sites are FCFS. There is a lot of space. Bathhouses with shower. Pool. Playground.
