Description
New little camping in front of Arcoiris, only 5000pppn - the cheapest we could find around here, super friendly owners. They kept our stuff for free while we hiked a couple of days in the valley (other campings like Arcoiris and Wulmul charge). And… drumroll… they accept credit card in their attached restaurant so it may help if you’re cash-strapped.
Downside: as of early 2022 they are still working on the hot shower, but they boil you a big pot of water if you ask
They may also drop you off at the trailhead - they asked for 6000, by far the cheapest option around - regular quoted price is 9-10000.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

Very nice owner, and good facilities. There is a closed area for cooking, and outside you have pic-nic tables. They can keep the bags while you go several days hiking for 1500 pesos per night.

Arcoiris is owned and operated by Samuel (+569 674 530 61 -tel & whatsapp) It is situated in the town of Cochamo and a 5 minutes walk from the beach front. the camping is best described as a garden camping behind the house. it allows for up to 15 tents in the high season. but it also allows for cars and mini vans to enter the grounds. 7000 CLP p.p. p.n.
opened : October till April (closed from May till September)
the facilities are: 3 toilets, 2 showers (5 min hot water max). Kitchen area, where you can cook inside but you will need to bring your own stove. wifi available but only in an area of 5 meteen around reception. enough power sockets to recharge 20 phones at the the time. washingmachine.
maintainance: toilets are really clean. showers are clean, kitchen area is clean. camping area clean and well maintained.
it is a really nice and relaxed place to stay.
Report Check-InNice place on a small backroad of Pueblo Cochamo, clean but basic services. Camping with space for 20 tents and 1or 2 cars with rooftop tents, it's a tight turn off the road into the gate my 4 runner did it but something longer may struggle. Price for camping is. 6.000 p/p, hot showers, place to cook, really friendly host. They offer laundry for 5.000 per load not dried. They also take credit cards. Hostel looked nice but I didn't go inside.
