Latest Check-Ins

Permanently closed, will not reopen as it has been sold and changed for industrial use

Report Check-In

This place is permanently closed (confirmed by Greek restaurant owner situated opposite the former campsite).

Report Check-In

This place is closed for renovation.

Report Check-In

This place will be under construction for the comming 3 months. They will renovste, build more rooms and even maybe build a pool. Hope their plans will be an improvement and they try to keep the relaxed vibe it has now. For sleeping maybe the other Wanderers is an option during the building periode, although that one is not suitable for big rigs.

Report Check-In

A run down dump site...

Gross campsite, loud Greek music from restaurant next door, but at least they had hot showers!

Report Check-In

As per all the comments before. Cash only. Meet all overlander's needs and is affordable. Walking distance 1.7km to a big Mall. Facilities nothing fancy but kept super clean by Brian. Never seen someone clean so thoroughly. Santorini restaurant accross the street. Stayed here in the week and over weekend. No excessive noise. Drinkable water tap by the first camp/stand. Clothes washing by washing machine done for K25 per load. We first missed the entry. The name on the wall is obscured by a tree especially if you turning from the main road. No bell. Just give a quick hoot /honk. Or lift the steel flap by the pedestrian gate, which is part of the main gate. Slide the lock open and you can walk through.

Report Check-In

Gate was closed, no Bell, phonenumber or other sign.

Report Check-In

Everything said except an other good reason to stay; dogs are allowed :))

Report Check-In

Hopeless for sleeping on a Friday or Saturday night due to very loud music from outside of the property. May not stop until 2am. Had this two weekends in a row. Otherwise useful on other nights.

Report Check-In

cheap and super place for little maintenance of yourself and cars. 5 $ pp night, stay 3 nights.friendly attitude, people

Report Check-In

well shaded campsites, electric hookups at each site, no water or bbq (braai) at sites, ablutions below ok as they could do with sprucing up, good selection of shops nearby, I would advise buying meat here at the mall Shoprite if going to Malawi, meat there is not top grade

Report Check-In

We camped here for 4 nights in our roof top tent. It a relatively basic place but cheap, very central and with super friendly service. Very cheap laundry at 25kw per load. There is a fair bit of road noise but you’re in the city so what do you expect. Hot showers and a basic kitchen. Decent free wifi and a good tv room with cable. Cheap drinks too. Highly recommended for a few nights to restock, enjoy restaurants and bars in Lusaka before heading back into the bush

Report Check-In

Passed 4 nights in our rooftop tent. Lots of grassy area & big shade trees. Nice vibe. Good hot showers. Good free wifi. $5pp.

Report Check-In

Very friendly place with plenty of passing traffic and longer term residents. Near DHL office if you need anything sent. Plenty of hot water. Clean toilets. Nice communal sitting spaces.

Report Check-In

Good backpackers vibe. We walked to a couple of places for drinks and to eat from here. Not too much noise and good TV room and kitchen to use.

Report Check-In

it's nice, a lot of overlanders. Not bad with traffic sounds at night.

Report Check-In

As stated. Especially with groups it’s best to stay as far from the kitchen as possible, the spot next to the road. Least noise.

Report Check-In

Great place to camp in the middle of the big city! We met many nice people with whom we hanged out in the night, so backpackers vibe definitely is here :) Electricity at sites, hot showers, well equipped kitchen, benches and tables next to the campground. There is also nice “living room” with cozy sofas and pretty good WiFi. Price: 60 KW pppn or 5 USD. Recommended!

Report Check-In

ok stay over for one night showers could do with a tidy up simple tiles will make a huge difference, wifi still pathetic

Report Check-In

Great place too stay in Lusaka. For 5 US you will not get better value. Toilet and shower clean. Kitchen acceptable. Road noise not that bad. I will stay there again.

Report Check-In

Nice place to stay for one night. Showers and toilettes really clean. We did laundry (arrived in the late afternoon and it was ready in early morning) for 25 kwacha. Good place to stay in the city, of course a little bit noisy, but your in town...

Report Check-In

Price is right...$5pppn. A bit noisy being in town of course. But perfect place to catch up on internet stuff and restock with supplies. Internet can be slow (found best later in evening and before 6am.) Restaurant serves decent tasting traditional food. Many restaurants within walking distance. Ablutions kept very clean (had many people in camp during the 6 nights we stayed.) Sadly can’t say the same for the kitchen (fortunately we don’t have to use it.) many interesting travelers pass thu here.

Report Check-In

Perfect stopover in the middle of Lusaka. Very friendly staf, bit noisy because of the Traffic, but overall fine. $5pp per night.

Report Check-In

Good place to stay. Nothing to add. See other reviews. $5 pp

Report Check-In

Still 5 usd, great option for a night, clean ablutions but lots of city noise

Report Check-In

Good for an overnight stay in lusaka. Multiple restaurants around friendly staff, decent wifi, kitchen and ablutions. Not really great for rooftop tents but it was ok. I don’t know of a cheaper place in Lusaka.

Report Check-In

We really liked the place, also close to most of the embassy's if needed. We got our Malawi visa same day for 75 usd. Wifi was really good when we where there, ended up staying 5 nights. There is noise from the road but I guess we don't hear this anymore..

Report Check-In

Small spots but shady and with electricity. Cheap and cheerful wouldn't stay for longer than a night but perfect for the Lusaka stop over if required.

Report Check-In

In our experience the staff was friendly, the internet is indeed unreliable, and the place is noisy. There is a washing machine, 25 kwacha per load, around 5 kg.

Report Check-In

This place is in wrong location - it is located at -15.41095, 28.30492

Report Check-In

A good campsite on walking distance from shopping Center (2km) Friendly staff. A little bit noisy from the street

Report Check-In

Central Lusaka. cheap. safe. clean. lovely. friendly staff. bar and restaurant. close to shops.

Report Check-In

Depressingly cramp and noisy campsite and backpackers hangout. You basically sleep in a parking lot. Ablutions are good. Bar/restaurant serves simple, tasty and cheap meals when ordered in advance. Lots of noise from the roads, as the site is located on the corner of 2 busy streets. Staff unmotivated and moderately friendly. Wifi upload was fantastic but download horrible. $5 pppn camping. Meals $5.

Report Check-In

Nice campground, a little noisy because of traffic but centrally located. WI-FI is really good.
