iOverlander cannot verify if wild camping is permitted at this location. It is your responsibility to verify local laws or obtain consent before staying the night.
We searched for a place to pitch our tent, what is definitely not easy in this area. Finally we found this fantastic place. The dirt road leading to it is not easy, however the first part, right after you have left the main road, was the worst, when we were there. So if you can manage that part, you will be probably able to make it. On motorcycles it wasn't a big deal though.
There was a cow fence right in front of the site. We just opened it to pass and closed it again behind us. In the morning we met one person caring of the cows. No problem, that we camped here.
The view up there is fantastic. The sun stays here very long, since it's not in the valley. It is almost quiet, but you can still hear the main road down in the valley a bit. Unfortunately there's also garbage around, since people seem to camp there/ had made a campfire.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

This is a pretty difficult spot. We did not make it during dry season with 2WD. I would walk the whole trail before making an attempt. It’s pretty steep in sections and we felt it was a rollover risk to turnaround mid way.
Definitely doable with a motorcycle or capable 4WD. But don’t take your Honda civic up here.
