A beautiful overlook campsite with mountain views and setting sun. The spot is up as far as the road goes just before a pullout lot going north. There is a seasonal creek that is dry, except if you hike up a little ways there is water in the canyon.

This spot does have lovely views across the valley, but be aware that the road up here is very rough with big rocks. I had some regrets about doing it in my regular-clearance 2wd Ford Econoline - it was fine with some very slow, careful maneuvering but if I could have turned around and bailed right after starting up the road I would have. I stopped and stayed at the first wide-ish turnout. Not level, but ok with leveling blocks and far enough off the highway that the traffic noise is pretty faint. No cell service anywhere in this area.
