Description

Large free parking lot two blocks from downtown. The website says “free long term parking” and there are no posted signs. Great location to downtown. Very well lit. 90% of the spots are at an incline but toward the south end by a wooden staircase they level out and there are a few good ones. Couple college house parties across the street in the evening but quiet and safe overall. Weekends might be loud since it’s a college town.

Free parking lot, stayed overnight, I'm in a camper van

Report Check-In

Was relatively quiet overnight, an easy walk to lots of restaurants/shops. The lot is tight and I would not bring a large vehicle through it. On the 15th Street side are some spots along on the side of the road for easier parking. The entire area is not very level, so if that's important to you, it might be a struggle to find a good spot. Good Verizon signal.

Delightful that Oxford provides this resource! Southern hospitality at its finest. Three blocks from the famous downtown courthouse square. An oversized vehicle could be difficult.

We live here and travel all over the country in a van. the odds of you getting run off in a van in this town or slim tonight. The fact that somebody thought this place was unsafe is hilarious. I doubt you'd ever have trouble in the water tower parking lot.

Awesome spot! Stayed Wed and Thurs. I used a white noise app on my phone to drown out local parties. Easy spot. Flat parking at top. Stayed during day also working on laptop. Good Verizon signal.

Really good spot in theory but bad for a weekend night. Some jackass keyed my car (presumably because of the NY plates) very full on a weekend. There was another van parked (and maybe others as well) but the lights don't turn off people coming and going until very late. Idk Mississippi feels very suspicious in general but I probably wouldn't park here again and would use Beanland and 14th street. It's a little further walk but I felt so much safer there.
