So much fun!
It must've rained before we rolled through cause the access road was flooded for the last 2 miles in or so. Depths of the water ranged from 6" to 24" - even soaking wet the road surface was still solid and was NOT a giant mud pit. As long as you've got the clearance I wouldn't worry about it.
The campsite looks like something out of Jurassic Park - very cool area down by the river.
As mentioned the toilets could be cleaner/nicer, but they were fine and perfectly usable. Large sites, tons of wildlife to provide white noise at night.
Highly recommended if you want some peace and quite for the night.
Report Check-InGreat free campground! You lose service on the way here, but then get 2 bars Verizon, 1 bar AT&T. Porta potties not bad. Quiet neighbors, quiet night. Bugs, but nothing crazy.
Report Check-InStayed here a couple years back and it was nice. I remember it being quiet, decent view over the river.
Unfortunately closed during November hunting season, so did not stay this time.
Probably one of the cleanest campsites I've been too in Florida. The many trash cans have covers and are not overflowing. PortaPotie are clean with a service log. Campsite was a huge open area with a massive tree canopy. River is typical dark water.
