A hidden little gem of a free camp by the lake. Picnic tables and fire rings at every site. Long drop toilets also on site. No bins, so please carry out what you bring in. It seems most people are obeying this rule as it was pretty tidy. Patchy 4G cell service. We were the only campers there for the night. Super quiet night.

Nothing more to add beyond what others posted

All is mentioned in the different statement. Wonderful small and basic campsite, glamping doesn‘t exist here. Keep this place clean and take all! your trash home.

Report Check-In

As noted! Beautiful, clean, very quiet, 2.5 gravel road in well maintained. Cell service.

Report Check-In

Great spot for a night or a week. Beautiful lake. Well maintained campground. Looks like mostly used by those fishing the lake, but plenty of spots open when we visitied. Some trees, but at this latitude Starlink wants mostly up rather than north so we were able to get good connectivity.

What a beautiful free campsite. No garbage service but a dry toilet. Perfect for a swim

Report Check-In

nice quiet site on the lake. this is a "user maintained" site, but the pit toilets are clean. a few other campers but still very quiet.

Report Check-In

As described wonderful peaceful campground on little lake, arrived 2130 on Wednesday and found open site on water, adequate cell service

Report Check-In

A wonderful, secluded rustic campground. The toilets where clean, it was quiet, and had nine campsites with picnic tables and fire pits, of which 7 were big rig friendly. The second entrance (it is a crescent) had fewer potholes when we were there, but both routes were navigable at slow speed in our 32’ Class A motorhome. Augier Road is a well maintained, wide gravel road that connects the campsite to Highway 16.

Because the Stern Lake Recreation Site has already left almost an apocalyptic impression (bad luck black sky because of Gewittert and everything burned down or destroyed), we drove to this beautiful place. Only a short unpaved road, which can also make an RV. Many water lilies, (still) few mosquitoes and mid-June/Saturday only three parties on site. Definitely use the upper access road that Google Maps suggests. 4G network available.
Take your trash back with you! Unfortunately, our beautiful place is littered with beer cans and shattered glass, grrrr

long weekend for Canadians, so we were lucky to get the last free spot. Directly on the lake. beautiful view. got a freshly caught trout from one of the locals. so nice

Report Check-In

Amazing! Quiet. Easy to access with our 30 feet class A

Report Check-In

This is a beautiful spot. Lots of room to turn around even in our RV. Level level spots. And the view of the lake is fantastic.

Report Check-In

Indeed a very nice and quiet place to spend the night - even during heavy rain. Well maintained gravel road to get there. Clean pit toilet, picknick tables and fire ring (bring your own wood). Please take all your rubbish out as this is a low maintained site and in this way they can keep it for free.

Report Check-In

Not exactly free. A Camping Pass is required. Whatever that is...

Report Check-In
