Description

Great spot. The ocean beach with a pier by the inlet are all beautiful. The bathrooms are satisfactory with a drinking fountain for water. The park is very attractive with lots of walkways for rolling, strolling and hunting, if you’re a cat. There were people with carts and bikes stocked with their fishing gear. Apparently they are often out fishing before dawn. I went to the Sunrise Sands Beach Resort on Tuesday night for their karaoke. It was a lot of fun and there was a decent crowd. The second night I went to the Jetty Lounge/Bar. It is the one with green and red lights. It is the local hangout spot and it had a great conversational atmosphere and friendly service. During the day I parked just down the inlet directly next to Jetty park in a large dirt parking area. I parked here because there is a big tree to park under for shade. I went to the beach and it was not too busy on that Wednesday. Got a lot of sun :-)

Latest Check-Ins

No overnight parking. I would not risk sleeping here.

Report Check-In

we just got the knock from the police and were told to leave. We stayed here 2 nights ago with 4 other campers with no problems but not today.

Report Check-In

A large parking lot as others have said signs that say no overnight parking but no one bothered us and the FPPD drove by a few times. Lots of young kids hanging out well into the wee morning hours. It is right on the inlet so lots of anglers. Nice bathroom and garbage cans available

Report Check-In

A very good place if you camp in vans. Parking spaces are pretty small even for a bigger van. We even got some coconuts under in trees, the coconut milk is so good!.

Nice place right on the water. We ate at Hurricanes and the burgers were very good. Lots of activity at this park overnight. Some young adults parked next to us at about 3 AM playing very loud music which made sleeping challenging for that hour. There are signs posted that the park closes @ Sunset and that no overnight parking is allowed, but a few others were here overnight as well.
