Description

Drive-through Argentinian Aduana. On the other side, there is the combined Argentinian and Paraguayan immigration. Also drive-through. Stopped at the Paraguayan aduana and walked a few steps to get our TIP. Very friendly people. They needed a passport and title. No copies of anything and no costs.
When asked how much cash you carry, answer that you carry for a total amount far below 10000USD.

Very straightforward border crossing. Both aduanas at the same place just keep moving down to the next window. Paraguay just took our tip off us and Argentina needed our reg document, passport and insurance document to make a new tip. Then you have the van searched. Prepare for a lot of police checkpoints on the road down to Resistencia. They just asked where we were going and where we'd come from but they are very frequent.

Bad experience as Paraguayan customs intended a shakedown, citing "regulations" about cash import. Asked for a "Multa" of 200 USD. I got out of it by insisting to see the law or regulations they pretended to quote. They offered to "reduce" the fine to 100USD, and finally let me go as an act of "kindness and leniency", as their whole argument had broken down.
Received a tourist entry for two weeks only.

Long wait for cars. Cyclists can weasel to the front but be prepared for dirty looks.

Here is everything done if you enter Paraguay.
Migracion Salida Argentina/Entrada Paraguay is in one box in a drive thru. Aduana Paraguay is next - they keept our argentinian TIP and filled in the paraguan by hand. Everything easy. Nobody looked inside our camper.

The location here is wrong but it's not far from this point, someone will direct you. If you're leaving Paraguay, you will only return the TIP at the Paraguayan side and the rest you'll do in Argentina after you pass the bridge.

WARNING: DO NOT even bother going to the Argentinian side if you don't have the mandatory vehicle insurance. They will not let you pass or give you a TIP. Nobody sells this insurance (to foreigners) at the border so we (1) left the van parked by aduana in Paraguay, (2) got passport stamp leaving Paraguay and entering Argentina, (3) took taxi to Clorinda (nearest town) and purchased Argentinian vehicle insurance, and (4) returned to the border to cancel TIP from Paraguay and obtain a new TIP for Argentina. It was quite a process but the only way for us. We've added the insurance place we went to on iOverlander.

Very simple border crossing, everybody was very nice. Our rv was checked with a dog on the Argentinian side, but everything relaxed. Easy, nice, straight forward.

The strictest check in all our travel through Latin America. Argentinian aduana asked us to get out every single box from our car, and passed the car through truck scanner to check our rooftop tent.
