Description

I spent a month living around the corner from this park and kept thinking it would make a great place to free park in Trujillo. It's placid, peaceful, frequented by the locals and in a much better neighbourhood than the other place closer to the coast. There is plenty of room for bigger rigs and I never saw anything resembling security which might tell you to move on.
There are sometimes small markets in the park, but plenty of smaller parks nearby with narrower streets. Decent bakery and a few good restaurants nearby - the cevicheria wasn't to our liking but the restaurant next to it was good.
Overall, this is a very safe and tranquil park with plenty of space in a good neighbourhood, Hopefully when overlanders return, someone can confirm their experience in a vehicle.

Dormimos neste local algumas noites, é muito seguro. Tem supermercados, restaurantes, farmácia nas proximidades. É um ótimo local para quem viaja com cachorro.

Probably the best place in town. Super clean, green and friendly environment.
Food trucks popping up in the evening, MarcBac is a very nice coffee place with delicious deserts. Lots of restaurants and some small supermarkets around. Basically everything you need. We stayed for two nights and felt super safe.
There are parking spots off the road, but if your rig is too big to fit a regular parking spot, you can just park by the side of the road.

Great place to spend a night in the city. The neighborhood is very welcoming and lots of people walk dogs and generally hangout in the park. There are 24h security guards in the park, so safe as possible. Lots of restaurants and cafes, about a 40 minute walk to the main plaza. We parked on one of the cross streets that go through the park as there is less traffic. However, food stands show up around 4p and they did ask us to move as we were in the spot one of them used. All friendly and not a big deal, just moved to a different cross street, just FYI. I would chat with the security guards just to let them know you are spending the night. 1 or 2 nights is probably fine, but I wouldn't settle in for a longer period. Met lots of people from the neighborhood and generally had a nice time. It's not totally quiet overnight, it is a city, but pretty good.

Super nice neighborhood to park. We spend 2 nights, very quite, nice people around, a park where you can practice yoga, couple of food trucks, cafes and restaurants. We felt safe. I recommend you have a waffle (cheese waffle with eggs and avocado) and a special coffee in Toma Cafe. There is claro cel connection. No facilities.
