Something not right?

Description

Large dirt/grass lot behind Texaco gas station just before the small town. Not fabulous, but access to decent restrooms and internet when sitting by the store. Some picnic tables by the store to cool off in the shade or cook by the store. There is a fast food stand that we did not try. Suitable for big rigs to vans and tents. We didn’t have an animal with us, so it’s unknown whether they can be here, but I would be surprised if it were an issue. There is a night guard for the gas station - we felt safe.

This is more of a scrap yard than a parking lot. Fortunately no trucks with running engines while we slept here. Actually, no vehicles spent the night here. However, we had no issues.

After some rain this place is partially a swamp. Walk before you get stuck.

Talked to the security guy. He said that they don't supervise the grass parking lot. Talked again to the night security guard which arrives at about 6pm and have him a small tip for keeping an eye on us.

Never seen a gas station with a disco terrace before. The place gets quieter after 10pm.

Relatively quiet but there are some crickets and frogs that make constant noise.

Great stop before/after border crossing ! As described, a large grass/dirt area that is below the road level so it’s not too noisy. A lot of tables with shade. Toilets super clean and staff very nice and absolutely helpful. Security guard all night.

Nothing fancy but does the job and got enough sleep to do the border crossing. Grass field behind Texaco where a handful of truckers parked as well. Friendly guard at Texaco nearby. We parked in the light close to Texaco, felt safe.
