Description

Didn’t drive all the way down this road to these specific coordinates, but stayed at a small road not far from the entrance. Lots of people in OHV’s in the area. Heard some gunshots. Lots of trash around the site. Slight road noise. Nobody bothered us. Made it fine with 2WD and Low clearance van. Great views of the mountains around us. Between 10pm-9am was fairly peaceful!

Decent. It's trashy for sure, but the payoff is you're close to Phoenix. ...Gunshots all night on a November Tuesday. Like alllllll night 1am, 2am, 3am..... But the gunshot area is maybe 1/2 mile north. It's annoying, but wasn't overwhelmingly loud. I stayed 2 more weeknights and it was quieter.

AT&T was problematic. 4 bars of 5G for 20 minutes, and then 0 coverage for 10 minutes. Repeat indefinitely. I assume it's a bad cell tower resetting that just needs maintenance. But it was 3 days in a row.

UPDATE: the original review below was after staying here for a few days during the week. We decided to stay the weekend here and it lost some appeal. This place is as busy as downtown Phoenix on a Saturday and Sunday night, it was actually pretty crazy to see. Still highly recommend but be aware the weekends are wild here

We were trying to find some sites near the Superstition Mountains but most are state trust land or have reports of homeless encampments, thankfully this spot is still good to go. Just come here with an open mind that you will be enjoying the land with many other people of different walks of life. This is a very popular spot for off roading and target practice so if you park anywhere close to the entrance you’re not getting any peace and quiet. There are more secluded spots scattered along the side roads but I wouldn’t suggest getting too deep into this place with anything bigger than a van. We spent three nights here without any problems and enjoyed hiking the roads and looking at wild flowers. 20 minute drive to fountain hills where there’s groceries, gas and a high clearance self service car wash. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to camp with a view of the mountains and copious amounts of activities to partake in

Adding photos of the spot and the view. Again, busier than I thought, but all the ATV'ers were gracious folks.

These spots are easy to find, even late at night as I did. Head north on Hwy 87 / Beeline Hwy. There’s plenty of notice for Bush Highway, and the exit is straightforward. Hang a left at the end of the exit ramp and you’ll shortly see a sign advising a gate ahead. Both Apple and Google maps warned me that I had to park and walk to my destination; ignore this. Go right thru the gate, and the first spot comes up right away. The second spot was smaller and hard to level so I returned to the first one.

The other reviews say there was little or no ATV action. I parked here on a Wednesday night in early March and the last load out was at 12:30am. And this morning there are 12 ATV trailers so far! No problem, that’s what these spots are for, but just a heads up. It’s cloudy here now, but on a sunny day the view just might be worth it. :)

Stayed here 2 nights. We had the easiest to get to level spot, rough roads off the main road but our 2 wheel drive stock height cargo van made it fine. We would not go down the accessory road any further than our spot that others described. The road gets really crazy fast after a large turn around.

When pulling in take the first left 1/4mile in as the other pin from skylar did. Go past another 1/4 mile to the edge of fire burn. Good flat spot and only a few motos/ohv traffic compared to following the main road further north. Also, further north is where all the target practice goes in. I imagine this place would be super busy in weekends but is relatively peaceful midweek. Would stay again. 3-4 bars verizon lte. Short trailers only this far back. Road is swoopy and not full of potholes or rocks per se.
