Mojave free dispersed campsite | Wild Camping

I think the original poster was trying to share this place. As you leave the gas station and head towards the freeway, there is access to BLM land. As the road bends left, it is off to the right. Clearance is helpful and you might might 4x4 pending conditions. I imagine it can get sloppy after a good rain.

this is not a BLM, not even a place to stay for a night. i guess the coordinates are wrong, it is the entrance for the freeway. don't waste your time. BUT if you have to sleep right now, there is a gaz station down the road, just in front of it there is a gravel parking lot.

it was nice of this user to point out the free camping in the Mojave, but this particular pin is not a great place to camp. there's a train crossing nearby where the train blasts its horn, and rumbly semis passing through. I'm sure there's a lot of good camping as this pin indicates, but this is not the spot...I should have known better (cross checked roads/railroads) but while driving I decided I needed to go to sleep sooner than later, and accidentally hit this pin rather than the one I had actually scoped. either way, only come to this particular pin if you're a fan of interrupted sleep!

there is free dispersed camping everywhere in Mojave! it is legal anywhere off a dirt road where there is already an established pull off with fire pit. this spot is one of three (that get progressively larger!) down a very easy, 2WD dirt road. it was super easy in my sprinter. felt very safe, was super peaceful, quiet and clean! stayed two nights. 8 min up the road is the hole in the wall trailhead with a potable water spigot and pit toilet!
