Finding a place for three vehicles to camp in Taganga was hard, but we camped at the Taganga Dive Shop which had a very friendly owner. A room was opened up so we had toilet and hot shower. They also have rooms. Nice and quiet overnight. Price: 10
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Did our PADI here and could stay for free for 4 nights. Toilet and shower available, WiFi works most of the time. Not the nicest camping ground, but ok to stay a few nights. Can be noisy - overall a good place if you want to go diving.
Report Check-InNoisy but well located close to the beach. Restaurant with nice view on top of the diving center. Only possible if you book a diving or snorkelling trip at their office. Note: the place is at the beachside of the road.
Report Check-Inthe name is wrong. the location... 20 meters wrong. the place is named TAYRONA dive centerź
Report Check-InThis dive shop ran by Jose (Muñeco) is right at the entrance to taganga which is a 2 minute walk to the beach. feels like the safest location to leave your vehicle since they have cameras and someone is always around. That said, I got my PADI cert here for 850k and my gf did a fun dive for 177k. Took 3days to complete and they were very nice to let us put things in their fridge, do dishes, take showers, use restrooms, connect to electricity, and fill tanks before we left. Jose has a really good boat if their is a group of his otherwise if it's just you two or three he piggybacks on another boat. Recommend if you're going to dive otherwise maybe he'll let you park for a fee but we didn't ask about that.
Report Check-InWe did not stay here, because they said we could only do it if we went diving with them. We went to Ocean Reef hostel / campground instead.
Report Check-InCalled Tayrona dive shop. Said we could camp for free if we went diving with them. 150,000 for two fun dives - really enjoyed our dives. Was under the impression that it wouldn't be possible to camp there if we didn't go diving. Didn't end up camping there though, not really a good place to park our vehicle. Said we could only used the shower, toilet when they were open, no option to pay for a key. Very friendly employees.
Report Check-InWe stayed here twice for over 10 days in total. You can park a large motorhome or multiple small ones opposite the dive resort out of the view from the road. They gave us the key to a room with private toilet for 20-30k pesos (can't remember, sorry). It has a large common area were we could work from. There's a very nice breeze in the evening, but it can get really windy at night and lots of sand get into your vehicle if you leave the windows opened. No mosquito's whatsoever.
Great place if you find Cartagena too hot and humid.
The diving here is great, good price and great instructors.
Don't forget to check out the restaurant upstairs, great international food (we all had curry) and great views.
