Nice local-managed campsite (owner from Arusha) just 5 minutes from Tarangire park main gate. Perfect place to camp after a day in the park. Price is negotiable and affordable. Basic but clean ablutions, including hot shower. Friendly and helpful caretaker.

Still a nice place with grass, trees and shelter if needed. We got stuck in the mud on our way to the campsite, be careful where you drive in rainy season. People from the village and the campsite helped us to dig and push. The next day, the gentle caretaker Kevin showed us the right way to drive to the main street.
They even prepared some firewood for us, we recommend. We paid TZS 15000 pppn.
Still the same. Basic but clean, very nice caretaker Kevin. Helped us navigate through wet terrain when we arrived in the dark.
Report Check-InVery nice place to stay after a day in Tarangire NP, only 7 km from the main gate. Very friendly stuff, and helpful with a car problem. Big trees with
shadow, Bushbabys at sunset. Ablutionblocks are african average, hot water by donkey. The cheapest camping during our jouney.
The camp site is as described below. Simple, spacious and a clean ablution block. It feels safe and Kevin creates a welcoming atmosphere. Moreover he helped us out with clutch issues of our Land Rover.
Report Check-InWe stayed at Wild Palms and were welcomed by Kevin - a very friendly and accommodating host. Ablutions are good and clean (he offered us a hot shower if we wanted). The campsite is clean and has plenty of shade. Would recommend to those passing by. Peaceful evening and night.
Report Check-InSimple clean ablutions with warm showers on request. No further infrastructure. Fenced but largely only with hedges, friendly staff, dusty with no grass. Acceptable for a night before or after the park.
Report Check-InBasic campsite as described in previous posts. 15k pppn, 5k-10k for firewood, depending on amount needed. Clean ablutions. Lots of shade… beware of thorns.
Report Check-InWe had a lovely stay at Wild Palm, arrived with sundown and had a restful sleep. Friendly staff, we negotiated the price down from 40k to 30k, toilets and showers were OK, all good. Beautiful place as well.
Report Check-InWe relaxed two nights here before entering Tarangire and enjoyed extensive bird watching right from the shady camping spot. Basic facilities, friendly caretaker. Bushbabies and tiny owls around at night. Elephants and zebras might rattle the bushes while you sleep. Price negotiable.
Report Check-InDescribed as before, Kevin very friendly and helpful. We are the only guests. Pay 15.000 pP
Report Check-InLovely shaded site ten minutes from the park gate. Attentive caretaker Kevin who will heat the water for hot showers which are very hot. Lots of places to camp either under the trees or on flat open patch of ground. Site is fenced and guarded from nightime wandering donkeys/zebra. Historical Google search says this sit is closed but it it Open. 4 toilets and three showers, places to cook and eat. Usually has small tour group staying but very very quiet camp. Some ambient light at night from battery lights Kevin has put in the trees. Great breeze comes through in the evening. Right outside are zebra and wildebeast
